I actually think the impossibility of it is why the social justice crowd selected pronouns as an object of revolutionary change. Could be, but could you jump with enough force to slow your speed enough to prevent serious injury? You might be falling at terminal velocity depending how high you jumped from. Also would have to be a chair of sufficient mass, otherwise you'll just kick it downward causing it to accelerate while having almost no impact on your own velocity

it's because pronoun culture is a simultaneous wedge for their more unpalatable ideas while also providing a means to force people to pick sides and dominate social groups.

The unpalatable idea to the general populace is Social Construction-ism taken to it's logical extreme. Nothing is true or untrue. Truth is just an expression of power. Nothing is better or worse. Notions of 'better' or 'worse' are just social constructions by the dominant power class. "male" and 'female' are just social constructions and if we get rid of patriarchy we can create a Post-Gender world where gender doesn't exist.

This ideas are genuine and are as crazy as they sound. But you can use pronoun culture as a wedge for it. He/she is fine. But let's add they/them. When pressed they'll discuss how it used to be more common and can point to Shakespeare. How there are people who are genuinely ambiguous and it would be useful to have an appropriate word for them.

But it's not about fixing a small but actual niche. It's about breaking things down so zhe/beez/gi/qi can all be accepted. Because everything is arbitrary. Everything is a social construction. Those lists of 300 different pronoun variations that can be chosen and discarded at will isn't satire. It's the goal. The goal is the destruction of the idea of gender, or baring that, the creation of unlimited genders.

But when pressed they'll abandon their Field and return to their Castle. Suddenly it becomes not about dismantling the idea of gender by encouraging people to realize that gender is just a social construct. Suddenly it's just about minimal inclusion of people through just ONE more set of pronouns. And X language over there does it, so why can't we? Why is this such a big deal? Why do you literally hate people?

And then you go 'fine, alright fuck it just leave me alone i'll refer to someone at 'they' when they want it." and the Constructivists smile with glee and exit their castle and begin tilling their field.
