We have watered down our police force to include women, not to mention old women at that (as seen in your video) who can't hold their own against anyone let alone hardened criminals. I live near a police station in a busy area of town street and i regularly see our police "force" out and about. It never ceases to amaze me how any of these "officers" got in to the police force to do anything other than make tea and push paper. Whenever I see our police out and about there always seems to be a fair few of middle aged women, or men who are overweight. If it is not one of those two then we have these matchstick men who were clearly bullied at school and have a chip on their shoulder and try to make an example of law abiding citizens who happen to find themselves on the wrong side of the law for the first time in their lives.
If this is the case our police will go above and beyond to make an example out of someone who has dropped litter or something mainly because the perpetrator doesn't want to kick up fuss. But when faced with someone who doesn't give a fuck about going to prison (that is another joke) then apprehending the criminal is too much like hard work as the police have a real job on their hands.
We also hang on to this delusion that our police force still don't need guns (i'm talking about the average street patrolling bobby, as we do have an armed police force) all because we live in a tolerant utopia, a ship that (although never really was docked here) but sailed long before mass stabbings and acid attacks by "commonwealthers."
Imagine being a female police officer.
