Er yea, it differs from place to place I believe 11x was the US rate. There's some data here that shows men are over 2x more likely to commit suicide than married men, where as women show no statistical difference, in other words divorce is brutal on men.
The suicide delta between men and women is already something like x4 higher for men so you're looking at close to 10x

And also here, in the UK men are about 3x more likely to commit suicide after divorce, middle aged divorced men are the highest at risk category. Again in the UK it's about 3-4x more men committing suicide than women so post divorce men have a sucide rate higher than their female peers of 10-11x higher.
And it's no wonder why. Courts assign her 1/2 your assets, family courts rule she gets sole custody and you can see your kids every 2 weekends for a few hours, yet you have to pay child support to raise them which she isn't held accountable for, she can spend that money on shoes if she likes. Because she's got the kids it means she gets the house which means you're homeless. And no one cares and nothing can be done about it and fighting it legally costs tens of thousands of pounds in legal fees.
Marriage is in sharp decline in the UK an no wonder. Its why they're passing a cohabitation bill through parliament, so men who avoid getting married to protect their assets can be struck with financial settlements from women for just living together for more than 2 years.
