The Polish government said Tuesday that it will not support a global compact seeking international cooperation on migration, citing national sovereignty as it joins countries including Hungary, Austria and the United States in rejecting it.
The Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, which won't be legally binding, was finalized under U.N. auspices in July. It is due to be formally approved at a Dec. 10-11 meeting in Marrakech, Morocco.
After a meeting of the Polish Cabinet, the government press office released a statement saying the document fails to meet "Poland's demands regarding the confirmation of adequately strong guarantees of the sovereign right to decide who the countries accept in their territory and the distinction between legal and illegal migration."
Lithuania are such bitter assholes really. For example recently Poland and Belarus has been getting along more and Lithuania is so angry over this. They some of the most bitter people that walk this earth. I promise you they are doing this just to spite us and that's it.
Joshua Garcia
It should be worth noting that Croatia is still an uncertainty. Our PM has been in talks with Croatia lately and there is some talk they will back down over this. We can only hope.
They're literally the most senselessly suicidal people on earth All of them are tall, aestethics ubermenschen but they act like they barely force themselves to exist and Lithuania is far from a horrible country in fact its extremely beautiful
So a UN pact that will basically kill of their already small mirco population? They don't care
Not going to let that determine the course of events moving forward and it is logical doctrine to treat them kindly. If they want to play this game it's important to be a better man because soon Belarus will be faced with the decision: to remain Belarus or become Russia.
Dylan Watson
Exactly. And they do this entirely out of spite and bitterness against Poland, that's it. They are miserable people really. I always try and be kind with them but they always find some thing to bitch and complain about. A nation of teenage girls on their first period.
Xavier Roberts
Except it is not accurate. Maybe it's accurate from the perspective of a person that emigrated from Poland (so yeah might be Pole abroad that made this)
Camden Carter
Can you explain how them not rejecting the pact is out of spite for Poland? Because this affects whole Europe, not just Polska.
Jaxson Reyes
It's in their character. It's hard for me to explain properly. Look into the history a bit. Look I will not sit here and tell you we gave Lithuania the best deal in history but they drag this on and on and simply refuse to move on with their life. We are even trying to befriend them again (similar to Ukraine and Belarus: it is a foreign policy goal actually) however Lithuania is proving to be totally rejecting anything we try to do. They are also just insanely bitter and refuse to move on. Look at their suicide rates for example. They are killing themselves at such a rate it is astounding to me and they aren't even facing the same cultural dilemma that Belarus is (Belarus has high suicide rates too but if you understood the contemporary problems there it is somewhat "understandable" [I do not condone suicide of course but you understand what I am saying I hope]).
So, this bitterness is something I can see them doing simply to spite us, they don't care about Europe. The German guy actually had a perspective on them that is relatively true. They aren't thinking clearly, it's like an entire nation in a state of depression and they refuse to get out of their hole even when neighbors are trying to befriend them and help them out. It's astounding actually.
