it's been 75% off during sales either get it on sale or pirate it. It's not like other games it doesn't have an anti pirate software included in it, you just can't play multiplayer easily with a pirate version

As a rule of thumb you should never buy Paradox games. It's a shit company that has been releasing nothing but barebones games and padding them full of DLCs for years now. It's their modus operandi. Always pirate. Leave buying to the redditors and paradrones.

My retinues were so big I had to devide them to 3 stacks of 10k. But I only had around 4k horse archers because I had to switch to reformed tengri, otherwise the shaman would throw me in the pit.

Managed to kill 6k crusader army with my 3k horse archers.

I own it, and have heard it's good, but I've never played it. I've put in 400 hours of cucked Civ since getting CK2 though.

I recommend to grab HIP. That mod really elevates some of the CK2 shortcomings; mainly the map, realms laws, retinues and combat. The AI is still shit unfortunately.

Basically this. The bare game has so little that it was heavily over priced. I refuse to pay 200 euros for a 70 euro game.

Had some fun with the After the End mod. It's a post apocalyptic setting about rebuilding the old world, collecting artifacts like old firearms and even has a religion that worships technology. Really it's just an asspull excuse to play CK2 in North America.
Don't know if it's still supported.

These games do a lot to teach people history and motivate further learning though. Far more than the educational system ever will. It's silly to act as though all games are the same.

Playing it right now with all DLC pirated. Already sank enough money into paradox games and new Stellaris expension is not far away.
