>Syrian Army’s elite 4th Division heads to Hama for next battle
The Syrian Arab Army’s elite armored division is leaving southern Syria for the Hama Governorate this week, a new military report said on Tuesday.
According to the military report, the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Armored Division has received orders to leave the Al-Safa region for the Hama province in order to participate in the next offensive.
>Iraqi Air Force launches several airstrikes over Syria, 40+ Daesh terrorists killed
The Iraqi Air Force unleashed a number of airstrikes over Syria’s southeastern region, today, targeting several Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) sites inside the Deir Ezzor Governorate.
Led by their F-16 fleet, the Iraqi Air Force began their aerial campaign by hammering Daesh’s positions inside the key town of Al-Sousah.
According to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, this aerial assault by their F-16 fleet resulted in the death of more than 40 Daesh terrorists that were positioned around Al-Sousah.
The Iraqi Ministry of Defense added that their air force managed to destroy at least two weapons depots in the southeastern part of Deir Ezzor.
While the airstrikes in Syria are rare, they often prove incredibly effective because the Iraqi Air Force is operating on exclusive information on the Daesh forces in the area.
>Syria’s S-300 defense system has no impact on US operations: Pentagon
Russia’s S-300 air defense systems in Syria have no impact on the United States’ operations in the country, US Department of Defense spokesman Eric Pahon told Sputnik.
“Not on our operations,” Pahon said on Monday refereeing to the impact of Russia’s S-300 air defense systems in Syria. Pahon cautioned that adding more weapons systems in Syria could only endanger multiple militaries operating in the area and cause potential danger to civilian aircraft transiting the area.
“Any additional arms [sent] into Syria only serves to escalate the situation at this point,” Pahon said. “We need to be having diplomatic discussions to end the conflict in eastern Syria, and we need to be supporting the Geneva-led process to come to a resolution of that conflict. By adding more armaments and more systems, that only complicates the situation at this point.”
Pahon reiterated that the mission of the United States in Syria remains unchanged. “We remain focused on the defeat of ISIS [Daesh],” Pahon said.
>Beirut asks for Russia’s air defense net to cover Lebanon as well as Syria
Lebanese President Michel Aoun has asked Moscow to bring Lebanese air space under the protection of the Russian air defense system being deployed in Syria, DEBKAfile’s military and intelligence sources reveal. President Vladimir Putin has not yet replied to the request which Aoun posted through back channels. But neither has he so far turned him down. For now, it is under discussion at the highest levels of the Russian defense ministry, which tend to recommend approval.
According to our sources, the framing of Beirut’s request went through several drafts with the help of President Aoun’s friend and ally, Hizballah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah, until he approved it – meaning, until Tehran approved it. If Putin decides to grant the Lebanese request for Russian air defense cover, Israel would face a further Russian restraint on its air force’s operations in the eastern Mediterranean, over and above the powerful Russian air defense system which is in the last stages of deployment in Syria. This system is composed of S-300, S-400 and Pantsir-S1E air defense missiles, boosted by layers of medium- and short-range anti-air batteries and an advanced electronic warfare network. This sophisticated edifice was designed by Moscow to provide the ultimate answer to any aerial threats the US and Israeli warplanes were capable of posing from Syria’s skies.
Putin’s accession to the Lebanese request would provide Hizballah, Iran’s proxy, for the first time with an umbrella by a world power against a potential Israeli air attack.

>PUTIN TO ISRAEL, U.S.: LOOSEN SANCTIONS IN EXCHANGE FOR IRAN LEAVING SYRIA
Russia offered Israel and the United States a deal involving Iran's withdrawal of its forces from Syria in exchange for a reduction in American sanctions, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a closed session of the Knesset's Foreign and Security Committee Monday, Channel 10 News reported. The offer was made by Russian President Putin, according to an MK who was present at the meeting.
Netanyahu met Putin in Paris last week during the ceremonies marking the centenial of the armistice that ended the first World War, but it is unclear if Putin made the offer then. After the meeting, Netanyahu said that "the conversation with Putin was good, productive and very important. There is no point in going into further details."
MKs said that Netanyahu said at the meeting that the Russians and Americans are in discussions on containing the Iranian influence in Syria, and held their last meeting on the issue on November 8 in Vienna.
According to the report, at the beginning of the month Netayahu met with the American envoy to Syria, Jim Jeffery, and discussed the matter with him. Netanyahu was asked by the Knesset members if Israel expressed its stance on the proposal, and he answered that at this stage there is no official Israeli position.
"We are continuing our conversations in order to reach a political solution in Syria," a senior US State Department official told Channel 10. "We will not go into detail on the content of those diplomatic conversations."
>UAE, Saudi Arabia Dispatch Troops to Eastern Bank of Euphrates River in Syria
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia allegedly dispatched troops to Syria’s Northeast, purportedly stationed with the US-led coalition. Although there is no estimate of how many troops were posted from the two Persian Gulf countries, the claim comes at a time when Turkey could launch an operation targeting the East bank of the Euphrates River at any given moment, Yeni Safak daily reported.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said in late October that Turkey had completed preparations for operations on the Eastern bank of Euphrates River.
“We will trample on terror groups with more effective operations. We have finished all our preparations and plans regarding the issue," Erdoğan said.
Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir confirmed in April a report published in the Wall Street Journal saying that US troops in Syria could be replaced by an Arab force.
Jubeir said Riyadh was in talks with Washington about such a force.
“We are in discussion with the US and have been since the beginning of the Syrian crisis about sending forces into Syria,” Jubeir said on Apr. 17.
“There are discussions regarding ... what kind of force needs to remain in Eastern Syria and where that force would come from, and those discussions are ongoing,” he added.
Recent developments indicate that Saudi Arabia and the UAE are leaning toward cooperating with the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Last week, the UAE said it was negotiating the reopening of its embassy in Damascus and restoring ties with Syria.
In the meantime, massdar news recently reported that Saudi Arabia and Syria were working through back channels with the UAE’s help to reach political conciliation.
>The country of Iran, as an example, is responsible for a bloody proxy war against Saudi Arabia in Yemen, trying to destabilize Iraq’s fragile attempt at democracy, supporting the terror group Hezbollah in Lebanon, propping up dictator Bashar Assad in Syria (who has killed millions of his own citizens), and much more. Likewise, the Iranians have killed many Americans and other innocent people throughout the Middle East. Iran states openly, and with great force, “Death to America!” and “Death to Israel!” Iran is considered “the world’s leading sponsor of terror.”
>On the other hand, Saudi Arabia would gladly withdraw from Yemen if the Iranians would agree to leave. They would immediately provide desperately needed humanitarian assistance. Additionally, Saudi Arabia has agreed to spend billions of dollars in leading the fight against Radical Islamic Terrorism.

Ruptly youtube.com/watch?v=iJllzu2O5QE Newly-elected head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin was inaugurated as the breakaway region's leader in a ceremony in Donetsk on Tuesday. Pushilin stated that by choosing him as the regions leader in the November 11 elections, the citizens of DPR "showed solidarity and yet another time proved to the whole world their commitment to sharing a common future with Russia."
"It is our firm choice and we will not turn away from this path. I consider it my duty to unite the people of Donbass around the cherished goal - to live as one family with the Russian people," he concluded. Pushilin won the recent DPR elections, securing almost 61 percent of the votes.
Ukraine, EU and the US have refused to recognise the results of the elections, arguing they undermine the Minsk agreements. According to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitri Peskov, the elections in DPR and in the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) did not violate the agreements.
Ruptly youtube.com/watch?v=Qqa80Bpy1WY US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the partnership between the US and Saudi Arabia "is a long, historic commitment," commenting on how the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi might effect the countries' relationship, during a briefing in Washington DC on Tuesday.
Pompeo stated that this partnership is "absolutely vital to America's national security" noting that Saudi Arabia is an "important partner of ours."
Media reports published last week claimed that American intelligence agencies have come to the conclusion that journalist Khashoggi's killing was ordered by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:00 A.M.) – For the second time in two weeks, the U.S. envoy to Syria, James Jeffrey, has stated that Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad has no future in Damascus.
“Assad has no future in Syria,” Jeffrey said during a conference call with reporters this week.
However, despite his insistence on Assad leaving power, Jeffrey said that it is not the U.S.’ job to force him to leave office.
Jeffrey has repeatedly called on Assad to step down as President of Syria, despite having no diplomatic relations with the Syrian government.
