I have a cousin who has recently flown to Poland from Romania for her third year of history and language studies. She was always super sweet, traditional, and studious, barely drinking and never smoking and maybe going to a part a few times a year at most. She has always been a traditional Romanian girl who is smart and witty and good spirited.
Well I recently talked to her about how her stay in Poland was and she tells me that she wants to sleep tonight because she’s tired BUT NO she has to go out to the club because her new polish girl friends are not letting her stay in to sleep after classes and she has to go out to the club. She told me Polish people are partying every night in the clubs and she has been going out nightly with her friends and she’s exhausted but still in good spirits.
I’m absolutely worried that this corruptive and degenerate Polish behaviour will corrupt and destroy my poor cousin who is traditional and not meant for such lifestyles. She lives in a farm and listens to musica populara with her grandma and has prospects of marrying a man from the village to take care of the farm once her grandma is gone.
With all this partying and drinking rotting her brain will she still think about that? Doubtful.
That’s why I have called her family and friends in Romania and urged them to pressure and talk to her into returning to Romania for her fourth year. This must not continue.

I dont know about your friends but I find that amongst professionally educated people in Canada (engineers, doctors, etc). Young people stop going out to clubs and bars before they even finish school. It's degenerate but I think it's important to go out into the town often while you'e young.

I came to Canada in my uni days and saw the same thing. Lots of partying and degeneracy early on that fucked up many peoples lives. Even among my friends here that’s all they wanted to do every day. Party party party. I actually studied and got my diploma and a job and but I was pretty close to failing and dropping out like my friends because of the nonstop degeneracy. I regret wasting my early life partying instead of living more wholesomely. I don’t see partying as “good experience”. It felt like a chore and a toxic influence.
It’s a matter of perspective. Once you leave Romania you will see how much better Romania is in terms of traditional lifestyles. Even what you would call degenerate there is better than the degeneracy everywhere else. Japan might be the only other country that is tolerable.

She’s only a little over a month into her third year. I talk to her frequently and if this does continue for another month or more, I will tell her. I don’t want to be her parent so I’m obviously just being there and listening to her for now.
