YouTube and Netflix consume like 50% of bandwidth in the US alone and with net neutrality Comcast can't say "well if you use so much of it maybe you should pay us a little bit more, you're putting so much strain on the infrastructure" to them, and even if they do they can't say "or else I'll throttle this shit". No, they have to be cucks and give them exactly the bandwidth they need at the same rate. As such, in net neutrality world, ISP's have gigantic stimulus to improve their infrastructure but streaming services have none to improve their efficiency, without it, if streaming services don't improve efficiency, ISPs have more money for improving infrastructure to handle them.

Electiricity is practically infinite so long as the infrastructure and maintenance is in place. It doesn't mean it's free user. These systems cost a lot of money to expand and maintain. Having a resource at your displosal doesn't mean that resource was free or easy to get to you. We charge for electricity usage as it causes a real world physical tax on the infrastucture and internet is no different. It's quite literally electricity being directed by a telecommunications company in a different fashion. Their infrastructure and maintenance and expansion costs money so the people who use it more, pay more unless you're Netflix or jewtube then you think they should only pay the same as some 2 bit website hosted on your grandmas computer.
