I think what really made them is that they simply had some form of cohesion that is lost once the site gets too much traffic. Essentially we created a little enclave here, a small capsule that is shielded a little against the tides of flooding, spamming and general shilling and baiting. I wonder, if one started to enstate enough regular generals for long enough - would it be possible to slowly merge generals to make Anons coalesce into a more harmonious group? I know there will never be a "we" of more than 100 people, and that is stretching it, but they simply appreciated each others content and simply were having fun. It's a positive feedback loop really if you think about it.
