I have seen such people, but they are no more than 1/3 of the population. The solid majority (including many Christians) are shitskins. More people here could pass as Gulf Arabs than Italians. Which is not what I assumed before coming here.

What I expected was that virtually all of the Maronites would look white and most of the Muslims would too. Based on googling and some half-baked /user/ theorizing, i assumed the indigenous Levantines were white.

i can tell you from my experience living here in Egypt and going to nearby countries that Arabs are one of the most ethnically diverse populations on the fucking planet, On 'diversity indexes' Western Europe and America/Canada comes out on top, but I've been to both of those places and those populations are drawn along racial lines, the term 'Arab' is really really fucking vague now, we are literally in the center of the world, aswell as the cradle of civilization the thing is we don't make distinctions along racial lines like you would in western countries (example: african-americans), we're all arabs, or in my case, we're all egyptians. generally though there are some strong genes that permeate throughout the population, resulting in association to the land, in our case its something about the top of the nose area and eyes, I can't explain it but I can always tell if someone is Egyptian or not by looking at that part of their face

lol the vast majority of Copts are brown. Only some in Lower (northern) Egypt pass as white, and they're a minority. No Copt from MIddle or Upper EGypt is passing as white, because geography.
