When you google the defintion it says that facsism calls for the governemt to control everything but i don't think thats correct, that sounds like totalitarianism. Idk help me please.

Simplest way to describe is a totalitarian + nationalism + militaristic state. You can go more in-depth than that (like the fact that fascist nations usually have a limited free market), but if it doesn't have those three elements it's not fascism.

They definitely adopted a lot of fascist attributes. Modern corporationism as we have it today for example, especially seen in silicon valley and the media when a certain political party they prefer is in power.
You have to remember that Fascism was a relatively young ideology even at the beginning of the second WW. It was snuffed out in it's infancy but brought a lot of change in it's time for better or worse.
