I've had three deployments when I was in. I've been to Iraq twice and Afghan once. I will say that Afghans are far more teachable than Iraqis. Iraqis are the most useless fucking sub-humans next to Indians.
Iraqis on numerous occasions would:

>If one of their friends/family got shot (they work together), they would throw their weapons on the ground and start crying
>Accidentally shoot at each other
>Aim randomly and hit everything but their target
>Randomly leave and go home if they were bored
What an utter fucking waste of first world life and money. Iraqis are the most useless fucking sub-humans I've ever encountered and had the unfortunate privilege of having to train. And these were supposed to be their "elite" soldiers, not the regular army.

I'll continue with if there's one group of people I wouldn't fuck with, it's Afghans. They're extremely resilient and tough. They're also not scared of death and embrace it. They didn't want us there and we had no clue why we were there, which was frustrating. They were easy to win over though and get them to talk. Just bring a cheap bottle of Vodka and they're your best friends.
They didn't give a fuck if they were outnumbered, they would hold their ground and rush to the front line. They're a scary bunch.
