It exists for a good reason

It's a yet another liberal delusion, stemming from the fact that they don't understand the difference between wages and earnings

It's non existent. The "wage gap" is calculated using highschool statistics math for calculating averages. Women get pregnant and stay at home, earn nothing, and all those zeros bring the average down.

>but girls get paid less to do the same job!
Also a blatant lie. Because I've done jobs where two men do the same work, but one makes more. You get paid what you're worth.

It doesn't exist

Fake and gay. Women can go work on an oil rig, work 50-60 hours a week, have no life and grind out work, do trade jobs, etc if they want to make more money. Instead they want to invade office jobs, bitching about how cold it is because they're wearing sleeveless shirts with their tits hanging out and a skirt while guys have to wear pants, socks, undershirt, shirt, ties and maybe a blazer. They just create more problems with their drama, ruin the comradery between men, and made it where you can't just tell at someone for being an idiot and firing them because they've made HRs run a comapny.

wait what, are they actually paying salary to women?

To btfo the wage gap argument i direct the misguided to a freakonomics podcast on the subject. They are firmly on the left but, even they, are able to easily show that it doesnt exist and explain the misleading statistics used to perpetrate the lie

CEO of a company that will go unnamed here.

It's 100% real and pretty much any business owner worth anything is in on it. I was at a fancy dinner party where I got to talk with Donald Trump himself before he won the election. We chatted and I made sure he was still on board with keeping it legal for broads to make less than men. He assured me he'd keep things that way and also talked about some interesting new ideas he had from reading some book about chicks dressing up like a pringles can and having to pump out babies and stuff. Sounded fantastic.

It's not even about worth here, it is illegal to pay a woman less for the same job a man does, not only that, but women got paid less, everyone would only hire women, since it literally would be cheaper

lol nice shitpost

We already talked about this myth

Attached: (You) have to go back.png (800x820, 267K)

Attached: 37saz1lrvjdy.png (635x856, 183K)

Its false. It is illegal to pay a woman less than a man for the same work. Women work less and work less paying jobs than men. The 'gap' exists because these feminist dykes with an agenda cherry pick statistics then misrepresent their cherry picked stats. Its really one of the most disingenuous statistics out there.

This wouldn't happen in socialist society.

Fake, feminist myth to victimize themselves.

Freakonomics also figured out that the decrease in crime in the nineties was mostly due to Roe v Wade.

We already have two federal laws, the EPA and Title VII, and most states have state law equivalents, which make it illegal for an employer to pay a woman less than a man for doing a substantially equivalent job.
Wage gap compares the mean annual earnings for all full-time male and female workers across all fields. It doesn't control for the number of hours worked. It doesn't even attempt to be an apples to apples comparison.

>but girls get paid less to do the same job!
Furthermore, a man and a woman hired to do the same job. Look at both the quality and quantity of actual work done. And in most cases the thot is vastly overpaid for her pathetic efforts.

Attached: StronkWomin.png (671x623, 254K)

Wage gap is a meme, when accounted for career choices and pregnancy it disappears.

pretty much this
Funnily enough, women between the ages of 21-26 earn more money than males of the same age.
I wonder what happened!?!

Wage gap is actually reversed. Based on quality and volume of work done men are vastly underpaid compared to women.

A sex wage gap exists only because a sex work gap exists.

They're strippers.

For women, "same job" means that maids in the hotel do the same thing as the maintenance crew.

>men are on average 15% taller than women.
>men on average make 15% more than women.
What's the problem?

Feminists hate him! This business man is saving almost 25% on wages with this one weird trick!

WHI DID IT. TELL ME
WHO THE FUCK DID IT

>recently hired for season work at fedex
>have to spend three days training in a classroom
>1st day our trainer is a well dressed confident man whos on the ball and very informative
>next day the man isnt there instead its a poorly dressed woman
>shes super irritable and very arrogant
>basically skips through our training as fast as possible
>keeps forgetting to take down our names and how long we were in the class so we can get paid
>class is only two hours long but we have to keep taking 10 minute breaks because she keeps forgetting what to teach us
>one day she came in and started slamming things on her desk saying "i cant handle this im too tired its not fair"
>she leaves to go the bathroom and comes back with her mascara running down her face
>a guy in my class said he saw her having a very public nervous breakdown in the parking lot
>mfw shes one of the top supervisors in the company

Yeah its odd. Women and men are so identical when it comes to handling high stress jobs. I have no idea why women get paid less.

Myth. The "wage gap" is a myth, based on a horrific skewing of statistics. Several laws have been passed in the US to deal specifically with this, but the Left relies heavily on this perpetrated myth that there exists a war agaisnt women.

Now there certainly exists cases of discrimination agaisnt women, specifically with regards to bias and opportunity, but there are not women employed who get payed lower than their male counterparts with all factors being controlled for equal (like experience, or education, etc etc)

I know burger, I know. And not all women are buying into the insanity. The lunch lady at Tyrafelt bloody well knows she's not doing the same job as the roughnecks. And she don't bitch over the fact that even grease monkeys get paid more that twice what she gets. Because she couldn't do what they do if her life depended on it. But she's out there, seeing what goes on.
Some sheltered college thot however, will reeee and reeee and reeeeeeeeeeeee over the wage gap. Because they are both working 'out there'

>Also a blatant lie. Because I've done jobs where two men do the same work, but one makes more. You get paid what you're worth

I am a postdoc. I earn about $10K more per year than my colleagues because I am a straight white male who wrote the grant that funds my salary and therefore was able to dictate terms. It's so sexist that the queer POC female-identifying postdocs who were hired to do work they didn't design and didn't fund themselves earn less, right?

>They just create more problems with their drama, ruin the comradery between men, and made it where you can't just tell at someone for being an idiot and firing them because they've made HRs run a comapny.

You described EVERY job ive ever had where a woman was in charge. Ive personally witnessed many a company and job fall apart because they put a woman who had zero qualifications (outside of being a woman) in charge.

Nothing is stopping women from becoming pipe welders, machinery mechanics, or miners
There's your fucking pay gap.

Attached: 1461902258721.png (674x7920, 1022K)

top kek, at least one of the headlines noted the asian male privilege

>Nothing is stopping women from becoming pipe welders
Not entirely true. There's female welders in the company I work for. But very few, and none of them can take the highest paying jobs. If we're going to give them one
>OK, you are right
about male privilege. Then physical strength still matters, even in current year. Being able to do a perfect weld is fine, and, at least some women can learn that. But can they carry the welder, flasks, protection gear etc.etc. up the girder gangway to where something broke and needs fixing. There's probably some 'Big Bertha' out there who can. But I've never met her.

in all major cities where the woman have the exact same experience and education as the man the
women are actually paid MORE than men

The "study" that came up "77 cents for every dollar" didn't look at hours worked or even how long the women were employed and time taken off for pregnancy.

??

jeez seriously? it's been debunked

Both Sides™ misunderstand it.

Women control 80% of consumer spending. Men earn more because they provide for women and children. You don't need extra money for wine and cat food.

it doesnt exist, and any proof of it is purely personal choice from women themselves, if they dont want to work 60 hours a week as a manager thats not mens fault

how many women work at construction, how many work in the sewers, how many work at trash? there is your answer.

>look through chart and all the jobs that create material value and wealth in society is almost majority male
>all jobs that are based on routing that wealth in different creative ways is almost majority female

Why is it not surprising in the least to me.

>What sort of policy would compensate for these deficiencies
having a fucking husband who should theoretically be with you during pregnancy

The point is that women are being effectively discriminated against for conducting socially-necessary non-formal work (pregnancy, childcare, housekeeping, etc.). Meanwhile, the type of formal work women are socialized into doing is the sort of social-reproduction work (caring industry, education) that capitalism traditionally fails to properly compensate.

The problem is: What sort of policy would compensate for these deficiencies without be nakedly unjust on an individual, case-by-case level? The answer is unfortunately "none". is sadly correct, without a real break with the capitalist political economy, the wage gap is built into the system.

You know why women go into those jobs? Its because they like talking to people. They are social creatures where men are not as much.

Women and men are not the same and never will be despite how much brainwashing there is.

Hotel GM, reporting in. Male housekeepers typically do a better job than female ones do anyway. It's rare to get applicants, but fuck if I could get a full male housekeeping staff, I would.

There's a biological factor going into this, but that only makes the low pay of these social service-sector jobs even more unjust.

How would it fix the wage gap?

All women are whores.

How is pregnancy and housework unpaid, they get to live in the house , use the household resources and are allocated 80-90% of the household’s spending power.

Of course they are compensated adequately.

Oh yeah and GET THE FUCK OFF MY BOARD YOU NORMIE JOO

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>but that only makes the low pay of these social service-sector jobs even more unjust.

How? The pay is not arbitrarily decided, it tends to sink if there are many people who could do that job and it tends to rise if only a few people can do it

Women influence 7 trillion dollars of spending in the US annually in this country and influence 83% of all consumer spending in the United States.
forbes.com/sites/michelleking/2017/05/24/want-a-piece-of-the-18-trillion-dollar-female-economy-start-with-gender-bias/#182528a76123
Man makes money to women spend
>have the vagina have the powe

Is there any point in even discussing this?

Anyone who looks into the issue objectively can see that men are the ones who are widely discriminated against in employment - both unofficially (by the preference people generally have to employ females in work that involves direct interaction or customer service, or even generally) and officially (by wage-gap activism being entirely one-sided).

Why bother? Women basically have lies that serve them and transfer wealth and opportunities from men to women. No matter how thoroughly this is 'refuted', all the institutions of power prefer to serve women's interests and so they simply don't care - and women have access to literally BILLIONS OF DOLLARS worth of funding 'research' into supporting their claims. Every single country on Earth has governmental, educational, and non-government organisations that exist to keep promoting this lie.

>>but girls get paid less to do the same job!
>Also a blatant lie. Because I've done jobs where two men do the same work, but one makes more. You get paid what you're worth.
goes for any victim class faggot. /thread

In the UK at least it's been conclusively proven that it doesn't exist. Men are not paid more than women for the same work.

By realizing it's not a problem that needs fixing. The so-called 'wage gap' isn't some negative thing that needs to be corrected, it's simply a statistical anomaly that occurs thanks to the innate differences between men and women.

b2reddit

>How?
Because you're effectively sabotaging the potential ability of half the population to have fulfilling, independent lives.

>The point is that women are being effectively discriminated against for conducting socially-necessary non-formal work (pregnancy, childcare, housekeeping, etc.).
But that's bullshit, because the corollary male problem to that is they don't get to spend as much time with their families as women do. Not to mention the fact that modern women don't do nearly as much housekeeping and cooking as they used to.

No, retard. How would "having a fucking husband who should theoretically be with you during pregnancy" () be fixing the wage gap?

You can't have your cake and eat it too, buddy. It's a standard talking point to say that women are paid less because they work part-time and have years wasted during the prime of their potential career lives. That's something most leftists actually agree with, but their point isn't that this somehow makes the wage gap "just", but rather that it only strengthens the case against the way material desert is calculated in capitalist economies.
(I'm projecting standard right-wing arguments, I don't actually know if you've ever used the "women get paid more because they work less" argument.)

>women are being effectively discriminated against for conducting socially-necessary non-formal work (pregnancy, childcare, housekeeping, etc.)
The problem is that you recognize non-formal work but you don't recognize non-formal reward. Women are rewarded by being treated better and living less stressful, happier lives than men in our society.

Or maybe, just maybe, monetary compensation isn't the only measure of a person. A mother that stays home and raises the kid is just as valuable as the man that works and supports the family, but you can't measure it in dollar bills.

In short, gas yourself.

Attached: downtoearthjew.gif (234x154, 1.09M)

I actually think this is among the stronger arguments against the whole pay gap thing, but it opens up a can of worms about just how much is it better to be a man or a woman in our society.

The I suppose the only fair way to look at it is to counter with the point that another user made. Women control over 75% of consumer spending. So instead of looking at who earns what, let's look at who gets to spend the money earned by both sexes.

The 'wage gap' isn't just or unjust, it simply is. Burden of proof lies on those who think it's a problem to explain why it's 'unjust'.

It is unjust because it means, in effect, that your ability to lead a fulfilling, independent life is determined by genetic factors outside your control.

Doing "smart shopping" (the only sort of shopping lower class people can really afford to do) is a form of unpaid labor too.

But that's not true, as unmarried young women now earn more than men. They can live the same life as a man if they choose to not have children. Hell, they can even adopt with their female life partner and suffer as men do.

It's not unpaid when you're buying stuff that you yourself use. Like the housework argument, this is shit you'd need to do in any scenario, regardless of whether you had a family.

Childbearing and child rearing aren't just individual fancies that women may choose to do or not do and bear out the consequences of their choice - they are fundamental activities necessary to the perpetuation of society as a whole. But society is effectively punishing one half of the population for doing something that is NECESSARY for society to continue to exist.

But you relieve someone else of doing it!
If your logic were true, housemaids and personal cooks wouldn't need to be paid at all, because their work would've been done regardless.

it doesn't exist but it should exist, just like the holocaust.

btw this is a good time for you to bring out the "we are all born naked and hungry, society doesn't owe you shit" libertarian argument.

Audi claims there is a wage gap, then immediately explains that when you account for all factors there is no gap.

Ability to lead a fulfulling, independent life is not based on the exact amount of money one makes. Anything beyond the bare minimum needed to sustain oneself has little impact on that.

>Shopping is a form of labor
Amazing. Who comes up with this nonsense.

Childbearing and child rearing also require a man to be involved. Guess who our society automatically assumes is financially responsible for the child?

How is it punishment? They get time off from work without judgment. Their husbands/baby daddies/government give them free money for it. And they can all be like Marissa Mayer and just go right back to work after the kid is born if they really want to.

I want to fuck that horse.

It doesn't exist, but it should.
Like most things the left complain about... patriarchy, white privilege, the holocaust... etc.

Attached: 1542775790669.jpg (800x600, 620K)

Feminism will tell you that the woman was intentionally put in that position of power to fail. They call it the glass cliff, claiming that the women was only given the position because the company was failing and using her to put the blame on her.

>If your logic were true, housemaids and personal cooks wouldn't need to be paid at all, because their work would've been done regardless.
False, because these people still have to clean their own houses and cook their own meals. They don't benefit from doing that for strangers at all without pay, but housewives get the benefit of a clean living space and cooked meals. They live in the space they clean. They'd need to clean it anyway if no one else lived there. They eat the food they make. Cooking for 2-4 is not much more work than cooking for 1.

>CEO of a company that will go unnamed here.
Thanks for your dedication to this topic on a random Jow Forums thread. I expect to see you headlining CNN tomorrow.

Fuck I wish my wife was good at smart shopping

Women are still overpaid.

The culture of entitlement, no Stacy studying a humanities degree does not make you better than a higher school drop-out.

After many a feminist REEE'D about wage inequality, the BBC audit ended up showing that men were underpaid in comparison to women. That shut them up pretty quickly. They still kvetch over it though. They should just come out and say they just want gibs. At least then they would be honest about their intentions.

It doesn't exist because it doesn't account for differences in job duties. For example: there are more female secretaries than male, and there are more male CEOs than female. If you just add up the amount of money all women make and divide by the number of working women, and the amount of money all men and divide by the number of working men make you'll get the result that women only make 79-80% as much as men, but if you do it job by job the difference is much less, essentially insignificant.

This is DESPITE the fact that women take maternity leave and more sick days, and are less likely to do things like travel for work. Women are doing less work and earning the same money. If anything that means men are underpaid because they're willing to do the same job without maternity benefits and whatnot.

>Ability to lead a fulfulling, independent life is not based on the exact amount of money one makes. Anything beyond the bare minimum needed to sustain oneself has little impact on that.
Thank you comrade! I suppose you wouldn't mind living in commieblock #017772952 and living off your Nutritious (as declared by Ministry of Agricultural Produce verdict MAP-35004-B) diet of gruel and sawdust bread.

>Amazing. Who comes up with this nonsense.
Are you literally underage or something? Doesn't mom make you buy groceries from time to time?

>Guess who our society automatically assumes is financially responsible for the child?
That is a "hotfix" to the responsibility problem I've been describing. Had men would not have been required (either by law or social custom) to care for their children and the costs were borne entirely by mothers, society would've been obliged to pay much higher wages to women with children. Of course we know this would never have happened - under capitalism, a person's pay is not impacted at all by the amount of dependents that person may have. Yet childbearing still would've had to happen for society and civilization to exist! So without this transfer of resources from men to their children and mothers, the current system would've have simply reached a tipping point and collapsed decades ago.

It really doesn't open any can of worms. The problem is that feminist look at discrepancy in the distribution of one quantity, like wage, and from that want to conclude discrimination. But there is no proof of foul play in any of that. That's why their accusations shouldn't be considered serious until they show proof of foul play. Otherwise we can go forever with cherrypicking stats that work in one direction or the other. So really the problem is that too much good faith has been offered to the feminist position that it doesn't deserve.

A woman's place is in the home.

That will always be the case. At some point you need to accept it and come to terms with nature.

This is actually completely irrelevant. Again, repeating myself: By cooking for 2-4, they relieve another person from cooking themselves, and so the other person avoided opportunity costs. It's a net pareto improvement for society, but the beneficiary ends up being someone who doesn't do the actual work.

Wages =/= Earnings
It's like these fuckers think their paycheck is run through an excel ark that just pays them 23% less.

What's ridiculous is that there are already 2 federal laws, and many state corollaries, that already make it illegal for a business to pay a female employee less than a similarly situated male employee.
They know this. They don't propose any new laws to fix it. It all seems like a power play to force de facto female quotas on the most desirable jobs.

When the Wage gap is real and the Thigh gap is imaginary
