bad
its really good and very based reporting
i regard npr and c-span as two epic sources for reporting the news
its basically buzzfeed for you mom
its easy to pick out the liberal bias, and if you're wise to it, it is honestly the highest quality programming you will find on the radio as well as the most intellectual and nuanced source of reporting.
I don’t believe in giving it taxpayer money with the way they portray politics. I can listen to it on the radio though. It is biased, but they are not over the top like other MSM news. It gives me a feel where perspectives come from.
NPR also has my favorite classical music radio station in town.
You said it better than I did. I enjoy it for the most part for the same reasons.
I'm able to deal with it thankfully, it's noticeable but avoidable unlike CNN and other 'news' outlets.
It's easy to filter their liberal agenda, but at the same time they push all their energy to liberal agendas. So yes and no, just depends on your bullshit filter.
NPR good. Orange man bad.
Absolute cancer. University library or good public library with books written prior to 1960 or nothing. Feel free to use the internet to keep up with modern events but don't let the left get its tentacles into your head.
National Yiddish radio.
Been listening since the 90's. Same people everyday for twenty years. Always Jewish.
Also check those digits.
my mom listens to it like its as much needed as water. the local npr stations are interesting. i usually tune out when its about immigration or other orange man bad stuff.
not nearly as unhinged as cnn
Listen everyday, its cancer.
Give it time, young one. Give it time.
It's the worst.
Strong liberal bias. Was a complete shill show during 2016 elections.
Arrogant pseudo intellectuals. They occasionally run a “right-leaning” story to posture their own belief.
It's what happens when you let a bunch of women, kikes, and fags try to do a man's job.
Cucked as fuck and beyond redemption. They're the sneaky bastard brand of libshits that claim to be really into science and knowledge...right up until you ask them how many genders exist. They've also drank the feminist kool-aid so every other story is going to have an intersectional slant to it. It's all such a shame because it wasn't always this fucked.
agreed
you just have to be smart
and there are some programs like Fresh Air that don't get too political
>Fresh Air
>not political
wew lad
I can literally feel my T level decreasing when I hear NPR.
bad. liberal funded slant news.
all in on global warming, and all out on real statistics like black crime in America or the immigration problem.
if you take your news from anyone these days , it should be mostly your peers on pol .
i can listen to it sometimes. im on east coast, and when i hear that kike alan chartok talk, i realize no government money should go to public radio
fuck that brain dead kike
Not covering trump until he started winning was the socially responsible decision.
The first half of today's All Thing's Considered was literally just women talking about how things made them feel and how we have to remember these various horrible tragedies (with the story twisted a little further each time it's retold, as usual). I started racekar driving like a dick to get around everybody and was so glad to be able to turn it off halfway through to do the grocery shopping.
It's not even fucking news. It's Nothing Considered Uless it's some Kike Bitch Reliving the Shoah in a New Way.
nutty gay loving leftists. BAD
That's like saying it was socially responsible to run a total media blackout on Ron Paul other than to occasionally mention him as some fringe cook guy because he wasn't winning yet.
Go suck the puss out of a festering cock.
.... have you listened to it? It's pure distilled kikery. Even shows that used to be good like Radiolab are unlistenable now.
90% liberal brainwashing, 10% interesting content usually in the form of extras or story telling. i have the local station programmed on my radio, 'sarrite
i think we can all agree that car talk was the best show on that kike station
It's for smart people. It has very dry, but in-depth discussions about art, literature, science politics, society, history, etc. with a bias towards reality (i.e. liberal). If you don't like facts or truth that is disagreeable to you, then it's really going to turn you off. If conspiracy theories are your bread and butter, then it's not going to be a good fit.
Jow Forums will naturally hate it.
Good. They bring in credible opposition to defend their stance and usually ask pretty good questions.
>that graph
One of them, sure. PHC will always hold a comfy place in my heart, especially when it was able to get beyond GK's hard liberal bias in the nature of its criticisms and political humor. His unrelenting hatred for Trump was good, though, because it tested his ability to express his umitigable disgust through humor until it was just plain honestly funny instead of lame youtube comment quality stuff.
I listen to NPR where I live because the only other options are coon tunes and spic speak
The only problem with NPR, much like how most news was through the 90s, is what they omit. Same applies for things like Reuters, BBC, etc.
To fill in those gaps, we have Jow Forums.
Soros puppets, research all those foundation, charitable trusts, et cetera that fund them. Also send them money and old cars.
No, they outright lie, and then use those outright lies as assumed truth upon which to build more outright lies in order to build a chain so strange and long that the typical radio listener just hears a familiar tune instead stopping to think or bother tread outside of the resulting epistamological closure beyond being able to argue aimlessly with recycled talking points against somebody else doing the same thing who lives on a different information plantation.
Talk radio is loaded up with conservatives. FOX News is for old people who don't even leave the house.
> It has very dry, but in-depth discussions
You, like NPR, can't be this retarded and are clearly being misleading on purpose.
The other talk mainstream talk shows by and large suck. On my quest to find the counterbalance to the typical neocon hosts, I had such a lack of luck that I eventually found my way into independent talk radio, where they're actually allowed to say what they want, regardless of whether they're right or wrong about their claims.
none of them are "good" or "bad", such concepts are for children.
they are biased towards the democrats and globalism generally, though this is a natural consequence of their intellectual elitism rather than evidence of conspiracy.
Bad
It's funded by tax dollars so bad. fox is the only thing you should listen to thats (mainstream)
Count. The. Jews.
I don't think they talk about the blacks enough.
what in the fuck is this supposed to be measuring?
at least right wing propaganda infographs bother to label the axes.
shit/10
>GK
>PHC
who mate?
PHC is kill, Garrison was #metoo'd and replaced by a simpering swpl mandolin player who can't tell stories for shit and always tries to one-up his musical guests.
chaotic neutral
>republicans constantly complain
>NPR leadership afraid of being too liberal
>all journalism majors are hyper liberal
>NYC headquarters
>hosts constantly splintering off to start their own """podcasts""" that rake in more money
>nothing to talk about, must talk about something once every hour every day
>blow small events out of proportion because literally nothing else to talk about all week
>republicans hate it, prefer talk radio, country music, and maybe podcasts
>liberals don't own cars, listen to podcasts on bus instead of npr
>who even listens to the radio anymore
>old people that can't use smart phones
>peasants with no internet or food or anything
>lite-NPR affiliated podcasts receive NPR money and promotion but run ads for blue apron and Mail chimp like every other podcast
>buzzfeed sponsoring NPR events to appear more professional
>WNYC doesn't give a fuck and openly champions far left ideas while NPR panics about upsetting conservatives
>2dopequeens muh vagina muh vagina muh vagina stand up comedy that isn't funny and swearing is allowed
>entire nation of NPCs relies on podcasts to think for them and passively sit still
pretty pointless overall? losing all relevance, podcasts were a mistake
Well, it's not called PHC anymore, either.
liberal trash for the most part. although they are fairly subtle about it. liberal women who think they are intellectual love telling everyone they listen to NPR.
NPR is literally NPC
look how that turned out
Pure evil with quirky nasal voices
NPR constantly interviews pro-war maniacs from neo-liberal and neo-con think tanks.
They never interview anti-war progressives.
So just another mouthpiece for the oligarchy.
There's nothing intellectual about sophisticated about NPR. Most of it is dog shit.
This is obviously a slide thread started to defend National Jewish Radio. Mayo e which listens for one day will.lose count of the number of Jewish names accents, and funding groups.
Seriously this is thread is just a way of promoting and defending the Jews radio station. There is a reason why it comes off as the most level headed.... They play up the rhetoric so hard on other stations that it is extremely biased.
Then NPR gets to be "the voice of reason". These are also the only station that plays classical and other non-pop music... Even though there is a huge demand for this kind of programing. Yet the uber Jew station has a monopoly on this programming because it is supposedly publicly funded.
That is absolute bullshit. They get majority of their funding from Kewish organizations. Yet they always act like they are on the verge of being shut down. So fucking obvious, you'd have to be braindead not to notice...
Today's lesson is on how to manipulate a poll for idiots.
"Average scored for a quiz of 12 items testing knowledge of current events, geography, history, science, and personal finance."
This is what you make the questions like:
Question 1:
How many genders did feminist liberal arts professor Libshit McTriggerberg discover last week?
Question 2:
What did Orange Man do yesterday to cement his position as still being bad?
Question 3:
Name three reasons why Caitlyn Jenner is still stunning and brave.
Etc, etc.
Then when your opposition can't answer your questions you can call them uneducated, ill informed, deplorable, or whatever else gets your rocks off.
retarded
Same. I too live in New Jersey.
It's pure comedy mixed with utopian larping. Just finished listening to the episode on FOOD APARTHEID in the inner city. Food deserts are now a symptom of FOOD APARTHEID.
NPR is what talking penises would sound like.
YOU SHUT UP ABOUT MY JEWED UP PENIS :(
Maybe, but I don't come to Jow Forums to actually learn anything. This board is purely for shitposting (pic related). /his/, /sci/, /lit/, etc. are much better for actual discussion, but even they pale in comparison to little, known niche-shit you could learn from a place like stackexchange or even fucking reddit.
bad but I like some of their non-politics related stuff
Hi Joan! Shut it down!
(((NPR)))
Was *relatively* good. Now there are more worthy choices and npr has turned to shit. Your commute is better spent listening to a podcast you saved on your phone.
Every single fucking person on NPR is a snob.
They even talk like little stuck up pompous ass-hats.
This guy knows his shit!
You can have your own opinions, but you can't make up alternative facts. These aren't fucking hard questions (pic related). Now, you could argue that already informed or uninformed people gravitate to certain sources, because of bias. Trying to argue that the data is flawed or bias isn't going to work, however.
Stick to insults and invective. Don't come at me or my son again with your shit "logic."
You actually tune in to this shit?!!! Fuck me.
r/iamverysmart
I hate what happened to the left since 10 years ago.
Some of the way these people talk is scary to listen to. Like you can hear the emotional instability in their voices. That halting, quavering voice thing where it's like their voice can't really get out or they're just about to start crying, or the little mewling sounds they make. Some new species is being born from the depths of liberalism.
A lot of people on NPR are liberal but it is still mostly decent. A lot of variability based on where you are, but they have some hosts that are pretty fair. Brian Lehrer on wnyc seems pretty balanced even though I'm sure he's personally liberal.
i don't listen to marxist radio, sorry
My tape deck broke and there was nothing but nigger music and christmas music on the radio. I got half an hour of stories about murder mysteries before that, at least (even though it was all thinly-disguised anti-gun messaging).
It was good like 10-15 years ago.
>non-player radio
Still fairly based. Plenty of balanced positions and articles that aren't soaking in bias. Low IQ mongs get turned off by the regular article questioning Trump, but if you can't into investigative journalism then you should not be reading this or any other news source anyway.
I agree. its REALLY shit now though
>which group best absorbed our propaganda of what happens in some country that doesn't affect them at all but which we want to invade
>oh wow, it's the one that watches the channel where we broadcast our propaganda the most
yeah, facts are shit. you are a materialist idiot. moral philosophy comes before facts, not after. facts are gathered with a specific intent, and interpreted with a specific intent. any time somebody says "muh facts", 1) were the facts gathered by someone honest and not blatantly falsified? 2) was the study designed correctly? 3) what is the correct interpretation of the data? You need moral philosophy to address all those questions. The facts are a small part. The facts are a tool, like a gun even. Unsurprisingly materialists treat the gun the same way as the fact, they elevate it above the moral questions surrounding it. And unsurprisingly they pursue power for its own sake, as they view the tool as superior to the moral understanding of its use.
>meme flag
>I know it's a poisoned well, but if i get the water in the morning, you can't taste the poison as much
More like npc amirite
Lmao owned like and share
>knowing if the Syrian regime has been toppled is propaganda
fucking awful. the uppity nigger on from like 11-12pm who took over for Diane Rehm is a legit racist lefty activist
damn crazy markings on that one!
i listen to it all day at work and it's CONSTANTLY about anti-white and pro-immigration. every show JAMS white guilt shit into it. it's gross
very bad
Its literally
Non
Player
Radio
Depending on who's broadcasting they can have some decent classical music going though. But skip the news on it.
I was driving while the election results were coming in. Everyone on NPR sounded like they were on the verge of tears.
NPR has been run by the Koch Bros for the past 15 years. the flagship station WBUR, which produces most of the news/politics stories, even had a Koch on its Board of Directors.
Its trans-sexual ballerina stories are just Emmanuel Goldstein tier agitprop to keep the ubermensches riled up.
