Trump undid all Obama funding/aid for economic, security, and healthcare development in Latin America as soon as he entered office. Was part of his America First! strategy, but they did not broadcast this too heavily and the Dems had other more bizarre stuff to worry about.

A real Republican could probably have solved this. A diplomat could get the Democrats to cooperate (you get to use all your cool military tools and Dems get to think they are saving humanity). Not Trump. His idea of problem solving is to build a wall and hope nothing seeps through the cracks. A real Conservative Replican Libertarian politician would find a way to end the problem. In 2015, which is what we are talking about, there were 10k crossings through Slovenia EVERY DAY. Yes, they initially came on foot, but shortly after the government began transporting them using taxpayer money, as you now admit yourself. Which leads us back to the original point: Why single out Austria?
