There is a ton of ugly brutalist commieblocks in Israel. They were built by the socialist governments to accomodate the influx of Mizrahi refugees in the 50s/60s.
Fortunately, since Likud came to power we turned into an (almost) free market economy and these commieblocks are slowly being replaced by shiny glass towers. Still a corrupt government but at least Israelis can feel less depressed.

Are there any good examples of concrete buildings? It seems they all fall into 3 pitfalls: 1. Either completely fugging smooth square or covered with fake scaffolding/industrial crap, 2. No color, light, or plants, and 3. No windows- so it looks like a prison
