It's reasonably aesthetic. But older cathedrals have appeal partly because they were on the edge of building technology. That is, they distributed the load-bearing elements in clever ways to allow more light in, etc. They risked collapse as they learned and the results were awe-inspiring for their day. In modern times, producing the building you've posted isn't a technical challenge anymore. It's safe, and as such isn't a monument to the glory of God in the way that medieval cathedrals were. In that respect, it is kind of like a Disney palace. For it to be inspiring, it would have to be on the edge of what we can build in some respects, or beautiful in some spectacular way. Ages ago, the church had the means to compete with the rest of society to build some of the most prominent works in the world. Now, that building can't compete with towers in Dubai, etc. The awe isn't there.
