They try to tell you that illegal immigration leads to high crime rates, but they cannot prove it. The evidence actually suggests otherwise.
They try to tell you that illegal immigration leads to American joblessness, but they cannot prove it. Indeed, there's ample evidence that our local economies (robust of late) have come to depend on it.
They try to tell you that illegal immigration leads to abuse of the welfare system, but they cannot prove that it occurs in a degree significant enough to cause concern.
So what remains? Undocumented immigrants have an effect on American culture. Undocumented immigrants have children who are American citizens and remember the types of people that made their transition harder.
Thus, for some, illegal immigration poses a threat to white supremacy. For others, it poses a threat to Republican supremacy.
Make no mistake -- it is for these reasons that our border agents are now firing tear gas canisters at desperate families, including children. History will not judge us well.
