Haven't played Viccy yet, have always heard it's great. Still having a blast playing Hoi 4 tho, and subjecting the world to true Australian rule.

If Vicky had EU4's combat system I'd be fine with it. But as is the military combat is too inconclusive and opaque to really get into without a degree in autism math. Vicky 2 is one of the more open ended games because of how much it can be gamed one way or another politically but it's such a fucking chore to play. It doesn't need much updating to make it a gem. Doing the EU3->4 treatment by polishing some mechanics like warfare would make the game amazing.
