Alright, the questions I have are these Jow Forums, (1) The government finally committed an act against us citizens that made the majority of the American public upset, enough to the point of wanting to either bring down the government or reinstall government with people who wouldn’t do whatever tragic act was done. How would the American public communicate w/o government knowing exactly what they were saying?(cia, fbi, etc) (2) Does the American public have enough fire power to bring down the current government, and defend their own homes and territory? (3) Will the American people be able to even come together? (Meaning drop the politics, drop the racism, drop anything that would make you oppose your fellow American)
Bonus question: (4) Which group/faction (If Americans could not come together to overthrow their gov.) would win out of all of them?

It would have to be organized person to person without using electronic communication, old school style since everything is monitored. What exactly do you mean by revolution? An actual popular revolution overthrowing the gov, a separatist movement or some kind of military mutiny/coup? Also what ideology? This all matters because it defines the shape of the rebellion? I think any sort of serious large-scale rebellion in the US is extremely unlikely at the moment. US has already have violent civil unrest including Waco seige, 1970s political violence, 1992 LA riots and the miner uprisings in the early 1900s. None of these caused a civil war or threatening mass public outrage at the gov. I could only see a rebellion in the US happening for the following reasons: severe economic/environmental issues, an extremely authoritarian President or a reaction to an unpopular war on the scale of WW2. In regard to how a 2nd US civil war would look: take the urban warfare of the post-Cold War conflicts in Europe, the factionalism of the Syrian civil war, the ideologies of the Spanish civil war (with some modifications obviously) and the rural warfare of Afganistan, mix them together in an American context and quadruple it. I'd also imagine areas like Detroit, Compton and Atlanta turning into some kind of mix of your average African civil war, with gangs turning into or joining black political movements. A 2nd US civil war would also have heavy effects on the rest of the world and could potentially cause WW3. But like I said, it is extremely unlikely at the moment.

There are at least 110 REGISTERED firearms to ever 100 citizens. The states of Pennsylvania and Ohio alone have more small arms than the entire US military. Also, US military probably wouldnt risk weapons of mass destruction against their own people, resulting in having to fight US guerilla fighters.
