Ancient India is highly underrated, even before the Greeks, the Indians knew of heliocentrism(the Earth being round and it not being the centre), advanced mathemetical applications, and of course the beginnings of what you could say of quantum physics and even the string theory being proposed. The Arabs and Greeks however get all of the credit. Pythagoras himself was a vegetarian and believed in reincarnation.
