Today is my dad's birthday and no one showed up
It's just me , my mom and him

What can I do to make him feel better?

If it personally bothers him, you could go for a day out and do stuff he likes.

Though if he doesn’t look bothered in any way, you may not need to do anything at all.

I know he is bothered
He's by himself drinking beer right now

a hug and a some quality time should help!

Seconding going out
Maybe go to a restaurant or something
Make sure he knows you and your mom love and appreciate him

Buy him more beer

Thanks guys
I'll try and figure something out

tell him that he mated with your mother and created you, which makes him a winner

Who was invited? Your Dad is an adult and birthdays are just another day. He should just be glad it's a weekend.

All his "friends"

This. A grown man should know better.

Whoa...

This is true, though.
But it's not like he can just brush it off that easy.

Looks like your friends doesn't have friends now.
You'll need to shower him with affection and support.

>shower him [...]
This isn't a good idea. A child cries for attention when they see that an adult has seen them fall. They won't if you ignore it. Doing this will just indulge his wallowing in self pity. It isn't helpful. Act normally and allow him to process his fedlings himself.

>the common man’s poisonous caveman culture

Preferable to useless and counter productive self indulgence.

>saying an overly simple thing with puffy language

>No counter. Losing.

>”ur losing this argument because u havent clasically refuted my main points”
le tip

>Lost.

Go and have a beer with him!

that show was nuts

its good not to indulge bad feelings, but itself also important to accept them. fighting back feelings is poisonous behavior for people in a mentality of struggling to survive.

so everything in moderation

but people poison each other. if everyone around you is fighting back feelings, they may ostracize you for not doing so

“oh, this is indulgent. I didn’t get cracked on my knuckles at catholic school to be stuck with a weakling like yourself.”
