yeah I'm going to apply for plumber's apprenticeship next week. fuck jewish university

I’m about to tryout for the Ironworkers union.

Wasted a year at community college.
Worked in factories, construction, and maritime now.
Maritime is a legit career, unlike being a wagecuck like I previously have. But at the cost of being a slave to your employer and never being home.

If you’re in an small town though, you’re fucked as there ain’t no job opportunity.
Glad I moved outta Arkansas and to Washington state.

My parents are rich so I do whatever I want. Feels good

I went the trade route, became a machinist but in only 6 years I'm pretty much capped out on the pay scale near 50k and only have 3% annual union raises to look forward to, now I need a 4 year degree in economics or engineering to move up in the company, or grind out another 20 years experience and pray I don't get passed up for a supervisor position

She gets to wear nice clothes in a nicely designed office, doesn't have to do any physical work, starts work later and spends half her time chatting or drinking coffee, while the guy literally has to climb fucking telephone poles all day every day and has absolutely no fucking social status whatsoever with a job like that.

Don't buy the trades meme 100%

It's almost as if people will pay a guy lots of money to do a job that they don't want to do themselves lol, I thought you Swiss were supposed to be smarter than this

This

Cool. I just got a job as a software engineer making 200k at age 22. Have fun getting your melanomas removed in 20 years, tradies

also she is getting fatter every day while lineman guy gets huge delts and powerful index finger for swiping left and ghosting shopgirls while climbing

Jelly. I wish I was rich so I could pursue a life of funding groups to push my political agendas.

The trades make way more money than most of the white collar office jobs and it's been that way for many years now, but you have to do actual work, and that turns a lot of people off.

>great grandparents were hard-working farmers
>grandparents sold that land and started a company
>parents sold company and bought stocks/bonds
>I'm able to live off the interest
I got about 110k last year, and just had enough deductions to not pay too much tax (ended up paying ~$475). This year I'm making a bit more, but have a lot more deductions I can claim, so I may even end up not paying any taxes. Thank god for my White great-grandparents.

do mechanical as you're working, it isn't too bad
once you get past calculus it all becomes logic and physical observation

comfy developer job where I work from home, feels good man.

Attached: 1541908718038.jpg (640x717, 37K)

I'd rather be making the 80-150k per year. Purchase a few rental properties and fix them up to rent out on the weekends. In 10-15 more years, you're able to work at your leisure.

>while the guy literally has to climb fucking telephone poles all day every day
>social status
OH NO HOW WILL HE EVER RECOVER

desu, both of these are risky career choices

The whole idyllic reality get a job, start a career, built a family and settle down seems more and more unfeasible with the day.

Thanks technology!

For good measures, here is a matrix quote:

Councillor Hamann: Almost no one comes down here, unless, of course, there's a problem. That's how it is with people - nobody cares how it works as long as it works. I like it down here. I like to be reminded this city survives because of thse machines. These machines are keeping us alive, while other machines are coming to kill us. Interesting, isn't it? Power to give life, and the power to end it.

Neo: We have the same power.

Councillor Hamann: I suppose we do, but down here sometimes I think about all those people still plugged into the Matrix and when I look at these machines, I.. I can't help thinking that in a way, we are plugged into them.

Neo: But we control these machines, they don't control us.

Councillor Hamann: Of course not, how could they? The idea's pure nonsense, but... it does make one wonder just... what is control?

Neo: If we wanted, we could shut these machines down.

Councillor Hamann: Of course... that's it. You hit it! That's control, isn't it? If we wanted, we could smash them to bits. Although if we did, we'd have to consider what would happen to our lights, our heat, our air.

Neo: So we need machines and they need us. Is that your point, Councillor?

Councillor Hamann: No, no point. Old men like me don't bother with making points. There's no point.

I went to UNI for 2 years and realised pretty quickly I was wasting my time. "White men invented racism" and "Marx is god" put me off.

Went and got an Electrical apprenticeship and have never looked back. Don't have to work with women either.

>saturated market
And there's your problem. Taxpayers should not have to pay for meme degrees, nor degrees in saturated markets.

Good for you but I don't see the relevance to this thread

Yea humans were designed for that bugman life. We don’t belong behind desks staring at computer screens. Trades naturally speak to the spirit of man. Desk jobs eventually drive people to madness

Can you blame people for not getting it? (((They))) have been selling the college meme hard.

You're still in uni, aren't you? And don't fucking lie to me. All the uni kids think this until they get in the work force

literally all laura has to do is allow it and brian will pay her debt off and take care of her for the rest of her life.

It didn't scare me off. I realised id end up doing data entry in an office with a useless degree.

Now I earn 80k and im 6 months away from being qualified. Your country is about to import in the population of Somalia so good luck with your shitty university education.

>six figures off the bat
>in a saturated market
yeah no not unless shes a male in the mlb/nba/nfl/nhl

Yeah but you're mentally ill so is it really worth it?

lol. That rarely happens. You have a lot to learn

And while she's sitting in a nice, air conditioned office, she's going to enjoy a third of the salary (if she's lucky) that Brian makes.
>Muh social status
>In debt
>Needs to eat out often and wear nice clothes and shoes to portray herself as someone she's not
>Complains to the government about her lack of money
>Accuses boss of rape because she thought she could accelerate her career but has and regrets sleeping with him
>Now no male co-worker wants to be left in a room alone with her let alone mentor her
>Brian retires at 40 with a beach house and family
Yeah I wonder who's in a better position.

If I wasn't 60% into my engineering degree I would absolutely go into a trade.

Weren’t designed for**

Man, just working on a boat and being trapped inside, ranging from being a janitor to helmsman, is driving me fucking nuts.

I genuinely miss working hard every day.

>North Koean set off EMP over North America, destroying most infrastructure
>Brian becomes incredibly valuable rebuilding society
>Laura grows turnips and whores herself out

yes. you're mentally ill and not rich.

dude go to school trade jobs suck ass, im on my company computer rn and when im at work i dont do anything an make mad money, girls love businessman not plumbers go to college bro u dont even have to finish i got my job from a connection i made at college

More like
>Laura settles for a entry level job
>Works for 6mo before boss has enough of her attitude and fires her
>Moves back in with parents
>Hits the 30y wall with no man or kids
>Parents find her body hanging from the stairwell

>Brian retires at 50
>Wife, 2 kids, soon to be grandpa
>Comfy retirement, owns multiple properties
>Kids will be well provided for but sometimes worries for grandkids as all grandparents do

Brian has to work in freezing rain and can electrocute himself.
Laura can be a hooker and camwhore to pay off all of it easily.

Yeah but I'm not mentally ill because I'm rich.

>Laura can be a hooker and camwhore to pay off all of it easily.
Not if she reports her earnings and pays her appropriate taxes
>#thotaudit2018

oh you're just jelly and buttmad

Porn barely pays anymore with all the free sites.

At most she ends up as some average prostitute being banged by Indians and Arabs every day.

No not really lol, I don't really care about money, I'm mentally ill anyways.

>Makes 80-150K
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH
You are fucking retarded user.
Linemen make like 50-70k max.
Most other trades pay even less than that.
You are deluding yourself if you think the trades are a better choice than college.

do plumbers and trade jobs in US really make a lot of money or is it just a meme? in europe you need in 99% of jobs a university degree to make atleast +50k a year

50 as a tradescuck. LOL. for a few people sure but not for the majority of tradesworkers. Most employers treat their tradesworkers like dogshit.

They earn a lot in NZ and Australia due to lack of people in trades.

Qualified builders in NZ earn 100k easy. Plumbers and Electricians probably a little bit more.

>I don't really care about money
> I'm mentally ill
hm

go for HVAC dude. those guys make serious coin. Im a red seal carpenter, and mason, three brothers are carpenters, we own a small construction firm, over 20 employees (all white cis males, fags and niggers need not apply). Im telling you, plumbing is not bad, but HVAC guys make good money all week long. Its alos just a much higher class of people. Like plumbers and carpenters attract some pretty rough around the edges sorts of guys, but HVAC gets the nerds, you gotta be smart to do HVAC

Attached: Ironworker2.jpg (1000x668, 162K)

Brian's job is dangerous. He could fall or get electrocuted.

Trade jobs that pay well aren't due to the generosity of the employer, it's because they're shitty jobs that may injure the employee.

>employers
>tradesworkers
Office nigger detected. Most builders are 1099'd or union. Only idiots work for someone else after a few years learning. The exception is sparkies, lot of areas require union guys.

Trade jobs only suck if you do not what you're doing. I also like how you put pussy on a pedestal you fucking faggot.

Have fun with the poop

Attached: royal-oiler-nose-dabs.png (720x552, 198K)

I started off making $15/hr out of highschool doing plumbing work. I make $30/hr now but I'm tired of shit. Cost of living in SC is low as fuck though so you can raise a family of 4 with a stay at home wife on my earnings.

>Social status

This always gets me. How fucking concerned women are with "social status". Just goes to show how stupid they are. It's the same with them having to buy clothes a the time to stay in season or stay fashionable or whatever the fuck as if it has any meaning in life. I'm sure there were many people who have said on their death bed "I wish I didnt wear that summer dress into the fall that one time 25 years ago..."

nah they suck cuz u have to do retarded monkey work

((Software engineer))

Engineering sucks if you're working for someone else. You'd think it would be fun and rewarding but it's only a pain in the ass. Deadlines, constant mandatory design changes, cheap budgets, being forced to consider input from other stupid fucks with no engineering background, etc. It's really not enjoyable. I don't regret my decision, but damn, if you're not working for yourself or have a rare great job that you enjoy, engineering gets old fast.

You sound like a massive faggot, what would you know about getting pussy?

In Canada tradesman all make around $40/hr with crazy benefits and overtime

any job thats only paid hourly sucks, i make an extra 100-1000 a day off of the deals i help reps make

boomers in unions do. but seniority fucks over the young ones in unions. My buddy is a 30 year old union plumber. laid off all the time due to seniority rules. works as a bartender on weekends.

I make 50k a year in the trades and work 10 months a year due to winter. A couple months in the summer of 60+ hours a week.
Most people can't handle it and I don't blame them.
I'll be owning the company someday so I know the payoff is worth it.

I get $20-$35/hr depending on jobsite. with 401k and the typical garbage healthcare insurance most companies are giving out these days.

I know the heavy equipment operators we have can make 60K-90K, on some job sites they make $42/hr

S O Y - S C H O O L _ G O Y

Plumbers rarely deal with that

Also depends on what you're actually doing. Laborers usually make 16-18 here, 40k a year. Carpenters the sky is the limit if theyre self employed, union carpenters are about 20/hr when not on prevailing wage, 48+ when on a prevailing site. The industry needs people right now, and we're paying out the ass for the smart ones.

u mad cuz ur poor slave not an american cocaine snorting businessman

thats true. until they start their own company
the first five years is tough, your an apprentice
then ten years actually working, acquiring all the tools and contacts, and finally you start getting your own gigs, pretty soon your hiring apprentices and linesmen. thats when serious cake starts to roll in. i hire carpenters for between 24 and 30$ hour, i bill them out at 60+. even after expenses, ussually about 12/hour, (you gotta pay insurance, taxes, shop costs etc ) depending, im still getting 15/hour for each man

rarely lol jesus christ dude

>tfw software developer at a large corporation
>tfw paid more than twice the average salary for watching jewtube all day and some programming

Attached: lupin_money.gif (500x361, 1023K)

you're retarded. i worked with a plumber and i watch him literally put on a suit and climb into a sub-basement then crack open the sewage line and get sprayed by poop water. it got into his suit and he smelled like shit all day. he didnt even notice the smell and he told me hes used to it and didnt even wash his hands when he ate his sandwich. i quit the second we got back to the office.

I really do love the makework jobs we have given these useless fucks, what did we get in return?

That sounds rough bud. Machinists make a lot of money here in Western Canada. I made 76k last year (I've worked for 8 years) and I know guys who have been only worked for 5 years making 60k+.

lol gl

>menial job gets you 100k a year

That's only valid in the US though. In Europe, you won't get more than minimum wage.

This is false; a master tradesman can easily pull 6figs and a high voltage lineman can as well

not where I live. electricians are the only union owned trade profession in the area. unions got btfo by non unions a while ago in this part of the state.
t. Unironically a member of a construction lobbying firm

Bitch doesn't do shit but makes sure she gets that Starbucks every morning so people think she's a go getter.

>Claims to be smart
>Doesn't know what plumbers do

Anyone past their apprenticeship doesn't deal with that. They get the newbs to do it

Yea man, landscaping and construction were some of my favorite jobs. The military has me stuck behind a desk. So fucking backwards

It helps when they're paying 8500 for a rambler, and if you're smart and stage em right you can throw them up in 3 days with two guys and net about 2 grand per person.

I highly doubt the guys who installed your gas lines and keep your water running make min wage.

Same as U.S. What they don't tell you is you don't work for weeks at a time.

Here the you also have to be Union for that kind of cash and they're hard as fuck to get in.

Yea so did I. This happened one time in 4 years. The vast majority of the time is fitting pipe in new builds. He's probably a terrible plumber and thus gets the worst jobs.

i dont have to know what plumbers do u stupid leaf, only stupid people know what plumbers do

laura is smarter for not being born as a man

Thats not a bad thing.
T 26 year builder

>150k
Kek. Where do you life OP?

Yup

>He's probably a terrible plumber and thus gets the worst jobs.
he only made like 15 an hour too. plumbing is a meme slave job like most trades. i worked as an air conditioning technician and made 50k though. people cant go without heat and air conditioning for more than 5 minutes here. guaranteed work forever until they make some sort of robot repair or easily replaceable parts that normies can fix(i doubt this one)

They do, and they are typically shitskins. And minimum wage is 15k here, while VAT is 20%, gas, housing, food, clothes, everything is more expensive than in the US.
The joys of socialism.

Schoolboy cucks afraid of a shit sandwich

Ya you miss some weeks but just look at it as vacation time that you didn't get to choose when (roughly 4 weeks a year laid off but you get 10% vacation time). Also unions here are the norm for electrical, plumbing and carpentry. A lot of high rises being built so those construction companies don't fuck around with Joe blows electric

The one who doesn't have to climb up that fucking pole, that, is, the smart one.

Attached: boxxy.jpg (473x341, 11K)

Have you seen some of these people who go to college? Some of them are the stupidest people I've ever met. Literal retards.

Knowing a fuckton of plumbers, probably improved the taste of that sandwich his wife made.

>No u
:^)
