I work with a few millennials, right around age 30, and they seem to be doing ok. One was a coal miner(I know coal hurr durr) and chugs Monster in the white can, now he's a maintenance tech like me, making about 100k a year. Has a house, wife, kids, etc. What do you want? There are gigantic failures in every generation.
