More money is spent on migrants (healthcare, housing, gibs for "isolated minors") -most of the rioters are agitators who aren't part of the movement, they just take advantage of the relative confusion to do their shit with minimal risk of getting caught -the government (ergo the police) are happy to let the rioters and looters go nuts because the mainstream media doesn't report the truth, they just say "yellow vest protest: shit's on fire", to try to kill popular support for the movement.
The damage value must be through the roof, from all the gas canisters shot, the police gear damaged, vehicles, stores, cars, roads that need to be fixed, yikes.
