Follow that discomfort and see through it, see what they are made of, and it will disappear. There will be more layers of illusion, ever more delicately constructed. I think what people have a problem with is the base culture from these people and not the people themselves. I know a lot of people from different races that I had to ask them where they were from because I couldn't easily distinguish right off the bat. They were pretty good at hiding where they came from. People from any race can be successful and blend in with the rest, it's really a matter of people embracing the negative and limiting aspects of their culture.
