A very large part of the population don't think for themselves. It's why you see universities pumping out SO MANY of these kids. The fact is that most of the population are easily subverted, and maybe 10-15% of the population is able to think for themselves and question everything.
Whatever ideology is being taught or enacted simply becomes the "correct" one at the time. It's why support for gay marriage was very low, and now it's very high. it's why support for trannies was non existent, and now it's breaching 50%. It's why they are pushing hard for pedophilia, because like everything else in society, all that's required to change peoples minds is a slow growing social acceptance.
Sometimes that small 10%-15% however are persuasive enough to start turning people away from the majority opinion though. And when that support starts moving into the opposite direction, it's now that counter movement that has the upswing in terms of turning others in society to latch onto their ideology about a certain matter, and eventually THAT ideology will take over unless it's stomped out by an absolutely massive disinformation type of campaign, but depending on how strong the trend is, even that may not work.
So you just have to look at where the trend it heading to see what the ideology will end up being in the future. If the right wing trend is growing, the future looks good. if it's shrinking, bad times ahead.
