>Uber and Lyft stop hiring drivers in NYC
>Manhattan Marxists are forced to take taxis and public transit.
Isn't that like 5x more than it costs to take the god damned subway or just walk like any normal person does?
The taxi mafia. Gotta protect those yellow icons.
All I want is a free market but all these fucking retards think they're being helpful by FUCKING EVERYTHING UP. Fucking retards, someone should nuke NYC and California
did they also apply this to taxi drivers?
May sound like a lot like most salaries here in NYC, but that’s about enough to afford a small closet with multiple roommates in a shit hole. Paycheck to paycheck and will absolutely suck. Affordable / better living in any direction of NYC results in a 2+ hour commute.
Will always love NYC despite the cuckoldry of this decade, and it’s a great place for endless opportunities. It’s just not affordable or stable long term to do so.
>endless opportunities for people who already lived in dirt huts with 20 to a hut with drugs running all over the place
>wow people don't get shot as much here and now there are tourists!
How the fuck is that supposed to work?
I don't think they thought it through that far.
They’d boost the price per mile to average out to $17
It’s a good thing, you barely break even doing Uber in NYC
It's per hour not per customer you fucking retard.
17 minimum! Here its like 4.50 euros
If you didn’t think that minimum wage laws were designed to eliminate the bottom rung on the ladder for poor people before then at least you know now.
The more cars on the road in NYC, the more hours you spend trapped in one waiting for traffic.
Sure it a fun place to drive on an off night when the roads are clean and you can basically off-road rally around it. There's even this really cool rout up on the west side of it. I don't know what it's called; I just took a wrong turn one time. But if it's empty you feel like you're driving through a 90s anime cyborg city or something where the roads are attached to the sides of the skyscrapers.
>Taxi commission head
Just eliminating the competition.
Read my post dumbass
It will be flushed down the memory whole with the next "Orange Man Bad" patch.
It's about gdp goy, this right here is creating growth, trust us, just get ready to pay your slumlords even more to live in a moldy roach ridden one room apartment.
Bro, in merica everything is corporate. Uber drivers don't own shit. They are merely employees. But in Europe and other countries, the Uber is the owner of the car and gets paid per kilometer.
