Going to be honest with you guys the grass isn't always greener on the other side. You brits should stick to Britain I mean you literally have the best ways to defend your border when shtf hits the fan in Africa.

I'm not built for the cold weather, it's fucking dismal. I have about £50k equity in my house. If I can maintain or add to that with my savings I should be able to buy a nice cottage in the countryside somewhere warm, quiet and just be left alone.

Some areas of outstanding beauty here. Think the Lake District, Cornwall, Northumberland Coast. The problem is house pricing. All the banksters in London come and buy up everything for holiday homes and that pushes people out of the area or into extortionate rental properties.

Until the locals take matters into their own hands and start burning these holiday homes down then nothing will change.

many scenic villages in Cornwall are turned in to ghost towns for most of the year only to be filled up with snobby Londoners in the summer. The Londoner immigration problem is something not talked about enough.

Norfolk here just like Cornwall in that regard, but we tend to get the conservative londoners in the holiday homes. They're not really that bad desu, i used to walk down the main road in my village with my rifle on my back on my way to shoot the local fields, Londoner holiday makers would just ignore it and let us do our thing.

Most are near retirement age and plan to settle here so they dont shit where they intend to live.
