what about your majors, Jow Forums?
COLLEGE MAJOR TIER LIST FOR Jow Forums
god tier should be shit tier
electrical engineering master race reporting in
Medicine is on a lower tier than a degree in mathematics? Do you know anything, about anything? Did your parents have any children that aren’t brain dead?
Chemistry and Biology la
What are the best careers someone can get with a degree in mathematics?
this
I got a math degree. It was a mistake. I should of done comp sci or engineering.
math teacher in public school
Why is Construction Management never featured on these lists?
Haha
>nursing, medicine, education, LOW-TIER
Your stars and stripes are showing, fellow memeflaggot.
>pajeet stealing your mathematics job for way less money
no thank you
I majored in chemistry. I regret every second of it. I want off.
You can get a job as a programmer or a teacher. If you get a masters or phd you can work in finance too.
Process control. Project management. Validation.
Economics but I wish I studied history instead.
Ay why is medicine low?
economics+math+stats=god tier
Same, what career are you pursuing?
Cyber security major here working on my Certified Ethical Hacker cert to become a pen tester.
Mechanical Engineering major here, I wanna die
Biochem / Pharma double. My goal in life is to develop hormones that make frogs gay
mechanical engineering needs to be in mid tier. every mech i know is either a salesperson, a maintenance tech, a CAD monkey, or an electrical engineer in practice. I myself am applying for a "technical managerial position" soon.
>le ebig stem meme
neck yourself retard, the only god tier major is "trade school"
Chemistry degree. WORST CHOICE EVER! i would avoid college and do a trade like welding or being an electrician if I could have a do over.
is bio legit top tier? All I hear is people neg it and it demoralizing because I have one more semester left to get my bio degree. Are there certain jobs I should be looking at for biology degrees that pay really well?
sorry to let you down, but it's already been done.
Economics in undergrad. Now an attorney.
Every now and then I wish I became an engineer.
>history degree
ahahaha fucking kill me
have degree in mathematics. i am unemployed and have been unemployed/underemployed since i graduated. it's a meme degree.
ay same.
Construction management should honestly be at the top of this list, above god-tier. I see too many jobs with this degree and those are the jobs I want, actually getting shit done. If they had told me my degree was for paper pushing and CAD crunching I would have switched.
Environmental Science and Technology, already got me a $61k starting job with a major electrical company. I would say it is easily top tier
>mathematics/physics
>god tier
Those fields will get you nowhere outside academia on their own. The only god tier majors are engineering.
>low-tier includes medicine, teaching
>mid-tier includes economics
>god-tier physics
>top-tier chemistry
Medicine and teaching are good stable degrees, economics degrees can make you rich, physics gives oyu nowhere near the amounr of oppurtunity as a math or enigneering major and every chemist or chemical engineer i know is out of work
Is that a bloke ?
Did you get your masters? I was promised it got better with a masters. They lied.
Lit. and English are the same thing
Dude same. All the jobs I like want 5 years of experience and a masters.
medicine low tier? are you a retarded fuck?
Computer Engineer/Computer Science Major
So the math degree is worthless on its own, sounds real god tier.
If you are going to program anyways it would make nosense to forego the invaluable classes you take pursuing Computer Science. Unless you plan to just be a one trick code monkey, then why get a degree at all. There are plenty of bootcamps that take you from zero to employment. People make $80k+ starting
Did you take those 12 tests or whatever to get the actuary label? Apparently those are the most important part out of all of it. Same with engineering, you graduate and suddenly everybody is asking for your EIT and its the first time its been mentioned to you.
again, electrical. you'd be making more if your degree was in electrical engineering.
I majored in NEET
God tier:
philosophy
plebeian tier:
everything else
Do the electrical engineers don't like programming?
I have an English degree. AMA.
>I was promised it got better with a masters.
Don't feel bad, they got me too. College is a business. That's why they push you to continue getting degrees. Plus it is agreat opportunity to influence young minds with cultural Marxism.
Outside of a handful of degrees, college is a Boomer meme. Learn a trade. I would say even programming is a trade now.
I already had a job working in pathology during college and graduated with a molecular biology major but it was within the chemistry department.
There was no way I could afford a masters and I don't regret not doing one for a second. I'm unemployed and have been for about 2 years now.
You are fucking delusional if you think this is a good list. Chem + bio top tier? Maybe if you're pursuing PhD and like to get paid diddly squat. Mathematics is also a terrible degree if you don't apply it to something in the private sector like comp sci, etc. Same with physics. Your mid tier, what the fuck would you do with an astronomy degree?? Your low tier is way off and should be mid-high.
W-what about digital forensics
this. any college degree is worthless and prescribes no true skills.
the person who made this list was clearly your average STEMcuck redditor as evidenced by the shitty design of the tiers and fonts
I got Meteorology so I guess top tier
Doctor's should be on the same level as tradesmen, to be honest
Pfft, I have an artfag degree. Like, a literal BA in Art. I work as a programmer. Majors are meaningless unless they're required to get your licence for an actual job. So engineering and medicine, basically. Some majors are necessary because they're hard sciences and you need the academy to make any real progress. Physics, math, astronomy and the like. Those are good.
The rest are just acquiring credentials and indoctrination before you get to the next rung of the career ladder. Absolutely worthless, except as maybe a survey course while you're majoring in something important.
nursing studies isnt low tier...
(((medicine))) is purely memorization
>Meteorology
>can't predict weather an hour in advance
>somehow still employed
>expects us to believe global warming predictions
Biggest con job in history. But hey, people get paid to do it. If you can't give an accurate on time prediction at least bring back the big tit weather girls.
Where does Forestry fit in?
Where is computer science and business degrees?
MSc in Physics here, doing a PhD in Physics now (2 years in).
meme
Lumberjacks and carpenters know more about wood than Forestry people.
not true at all
CEH is weak, OSCP is the way to go
I have a masters in Philosophy and work in IT. I've done everything from software and network engineering and now I'm OSCP. Also I've been doing yoga for more than 10 years so Philosophy is still a large part of my life.
I make an easy 175k a year leaf bucks
You lucky bastard. I will never pay off my debt. Don't feel too bad about being unemployed, once you do find work you'll make jack shit. I love what I do but I could have taught myself enough chemistry to diddle around in the shed and actually made a decent living. Good luck out there fellow chemistry fag.
History.
Job market sucks, but it does teach critical thinking. Or at least it did, the shit being taught in school only a few years after graduating is absurd.
fpbp
Physics and Math majors want to feel good about their shit major decision.
>not listing business majors like accounting or marketing
Shit list
barista
Holy fuck I'm in the top tier? Alright
Yeah but half the foresters are the lumberjacks. Also no they don't.
We're trying user. We still have only weather balloons to take upper atmosphere readings :(
Sure you do Stefan, that's why you beg for our betabux.
Chemistry was a good major to have like 30 years ago. Now it's shit, the world doesn't need anymore chemists.
Stem are great majors if you want to be subservient to the jew, kept at a desk all day away from the meta and have zero impact. You realize our world is shaped by psychological studies that you white niggers avoid? The only ones doing research in this field are jewish. They have all the say in the matter. When you start talking about the jews in public or to family members, it will be a jewish or black female psychologist that signs you over to the mental ward and youll be kicking and screaming “but muh psychology is useless!” as they medicate you to shut you up.
>economics and law mid tier
>medicine low tier
TFW you are a Nursing Major and are guarenteed $90k after 4 years and $190k after 1 extra year as a CRNA. w/no debt
who gives betabux to a guy? Are you a fagget?
Financial Analyst in top HF or BB.
No agriculture? Guess it’s too good for this list
they are literally the dumbest fucks walking but they do make mad cash
>brother is an accountant
>absolute moron
>can't do anything
>can barely write or spell
>makes 100k
My dude
nursing pays huge in Canada. My sister in law makes more per hour than my brother and he's a mech eng
Sure, but I am already the go-to guy in my district for environmental concerns, involved with several major projects, and am given quite a bit of independence in what I do daily, and plenty of room for promotion/raises. The other perks I get makes up for not earning an extra couple thousand right now
Why?
This.
How? What did you apply for?
Med student here, first year, can confirm for anatomy, however in all fields you memorize quicker if you have a logical backbone for why things do what they do. After you've learned everything like a robot you build a picture that makes sense.
None, drop it and get a degree worth ur time
then tell your colleagues to stop pushing man-made climate change when they tell snow tomorrow and then it's sunny and 40
is civil engineering safe, bros?
I got a degree in economics and project management and work as an electrical engineer. Where do I fall?
>mfw informatics BEng
>mfw software developer at a bank
Physics and currently pursuing master's degree in economics.
That's my major but I don't know if I can actually make it.
Pure mathematics here. Everyone can suck my dick
this
I'd would gladly take a wager and test the knowledge of a forestry person against a carpenter/lumberjack.
I’m midtier with a hint of suicide
I'm just speculating here, but medicine may be more fucked than we would expect. The US is importing shitskin doctors from India and Pakistan like a camwhore imports dildos. There's also the issue of increasing government intrusion that's killing doctors profits.
So it's probably not as lucrative as it used to be.
