China demands release of tech giant CFO

edition.cnn.com/2018/12/05/tech/huawei-cfo-arrested-canada/index.html

It really depends of how autistic US will behave. It's obvious that many of the solutions to the problem demand, well, demand changes of policies and stances to simplify it at best, something US cannot do, more so as don't want to, as those changes imply policies that do not coincide vis a vis to US hegemonic idea.

World is naturally heading to fracturing into dozen of regional and continental powers, us is creating friction by denying the world of it. Will that friction on the kindling of conflict spark a war?

We can only wait and see, recent tyrannical behavior by US shows some glitters of the possible future.

In the Middle East, Russia is back

Russia’s 2015 military intervention in Syria has given Putin perhaps the single biggest boost, burnishing his credentials as a decisive and effective leader who delivers what he set out to achieve: the survival of President Bashar al-Assad.

It also positioned Putin at the nexus of the Middle East’s overlapping conflicts, leveraging Russia’s influence far beyond Syria’s borders to include all the countries with a stake in the outcome of the war — foes such as Israel and Iran, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, Syria and Turkey. As a result, he has frequently been on the phone with U.S. allies such as Turkey and Israel — nearly three dozen times with the leaders of those two countries just in the past year.

US unlikely to give up Syrian territory until Iran withdraws: Ex-UK ambassador

The United States regards its presence in Syria as a strategic tool and will maintain it unless Iran withdraws its forces from the country, which is a highly unlikely scenario, former UK Ambassador to Syria Peter Ford told Sputnik.

“The United States regards this territory as pawns in a chess game. It will not surrender any of these pawns except in return for, principally, withdrawal of Iranian forces from Syria,” Ford said.

almasdarnews.com/article/us-unlikely-to-give-up-syrian-territory-until-iran-withdraws-ex-uk-ambassador/

I wouldnt count on it. Putin and people in Kremlin are western agents, they are just pretending to act in Russia's interest while actually always giving in to the West. They have to balance their decisions very carefully, so the real patriots, Russian generals dont go for a coup liek they would do if Yeltsin stayed in power.
Thats why the West implemented a new method for Russian officials where they act a bit hostile to their moves against Russia, but end up just strongly condemning them without actually doing anything about it.
You know I'm right - now it finally all makes sense to you too.

>see guerilla war footage on yt
>everyone is just firing at seemingly random directions
>"idiots, this is how war really is like, you are too used to hollywood movies and games" on the comments
is it though? i am not too sure about that.

it is a waste of resources and they are giving away their position. "suppressing fire" kind of loses its' meaning if there's nobody to suppress or if the guy you're "suppressing" gives your coordinates to a comrade and you get sniped or blown up.
of course since the enemy is usually doing the same it balances out.

to me it looks like a combination of fear, lack of experience and perhaps worst of all, trying to pretend to be useful to avoid being deployed at a dangerous spot because you are too busy shooting imaginary enemies. or perhaps, more innocently, to show off that you are definitely fighting to the audience.

what is it even with this Iran obsession, at this point I suspect a large part is drivne that they already invested so much in it so they'd look stupid to give any ground, but they had a deal already and could have went with a more productive strategy

It's exciting to shoot randomly at opposing forces

>the guy you're "suppressing" gives your coordinates to a comrade and you get sniped or blown up.
you are too used to hollywood movies and games

Nice try jew

You have war threads on /gif/ and /wsg/ it should give you the idea of how war looks like.

You have to take into account that most of the footage you want, is actually final moment for many soldiers, even camera man.

Of course direct confrontations happen, and you are watching at best one persons perspective who is filming instead of actually committing to the fight properly.

Idk man. I guess that it is kind of an experience you have to go through before you can actually tell what are they actually doing.

and you have a meme flag but we still think you suck cock

UN-sponsored peace talks between the Saudi-backed Yemeni government and Houthi forces began in the Swedish town of Rimbo on Thursday, in a bid to end almost four years of war in Yemen. Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom and United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths welcomed the two delegations for talks, the first since 2016. Griffiths announced that the parties had agreed to sign an agreement "on the exchange of prisoners, detainees, the missing, the forcibly detained and individuals places under house arrest." "This is a huge tribute to those here present," he added. "It is now up to you, the Yemeni parties, to truly engage constructively and in good faith with Martin and this UN-led process. And you are in charge of your own future," Wallstrom told the parties.

"It can be solved," Griffiths said about the war. "It is resolvable, there is a way that we can resolve the conflict in the context of Security Council resolution, in the context of equity and justice and the aspirations of the Yemeni people." "Stopping the war is essential, but it is not a condition precedent to discussing how to resolve the conflict," Griffiths continued. "We will continue to talk together about the prospect for a peaceful solution frankly irrespective of what happens on the battleground." Fighting between Saudi-led coalition forces and Houthi fighters flared up again around Hodeidah in November, despite the United Nations pushing for a resumption of peace talks. UN-sponsored peace talks in Geneva in September failed after the Houthi delegation didn't show up for the consultations.

Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu expressed hope that Russian aircraft will continue landing at Venezuela’s airfields with naval fleets being serviced in the South American country’s ports, during unscheduled talks with his Venezuelan counterpart Vladimir Padrino Lopez in Moscow on Thursday. “We do a good job in the field of education and in providing opportunities for our aircraft to make landings and our fleet to be serviced at airfields and in the ports of Venezuela. I think we will continue with it," said Shoigu noting that such military cooperation favours the interests of both Venezuela and Russia.

Speaking after the talks, the Venezuelan Minister of Defence noted that to date Russia and Venezuela have achieved certain results in the bilateral military engagement since the onset of the military relationship during the term of Former President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez. “At this stage, the armed forces and services of the armed forces of the Republic of Venezuela have risen to an appropriate level and is quite prestigious. All this was done thanks to the support of the Russian Federation,” said Lopez.

He added that the Venezuelan armed forces’ level of preparation meets “the modern doctrine” and enables “to maintain peace and order” in Venezuela. It is the third time Lopez has arrived in Moscow as a member of the Venezuelan delegation headed by President Nicolas Maduro.

President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer talked about the organisation’s humanitarian missions in the war-torn countries of Yemen, Syria and Afghanistan in an exclusive interview in Moscow on Thursday.

Talking about Yemen, Maurer said “this is one of the most dire humanitarian situations we have seen. People have been dying not only from the direct attacks and the direct impact of war, but in particular also from the destruction of infrastructure.”

“With regard at least to humanitarian assistance we do have still a lot of international support to deliver humanitarian lifesaving assistance into Yemen,” he added.

>>calls Burgers Mutts
I mean...don't you see the contradiction in your argument?

The so kind "Democracy and Free World" feeds of the ideological enemies like any other ideology. Without it, they would have to focus on internal problems. Therefore it is inherent for the "Free world ( US )" to demonize people after people to accomplish this and keep the focus away from internal issues.

Even through they pretend , whole world after WW2 became global cult of what could be best summed up as "extremist progressivism", where children are from the young age indoctrinated to hate different ideas of Fascism and to ridicule the different ideas of Communism, therefore creating huge censorship and stagnation of civilization as competition of ideas is at best summed as "planned economy".

After that they go out of their way to blame people like North Koreans, Chinese, Afganis and Persians for their ideological stance against supposed "Free world" and how they are censoring and preventing the progress ( which is only possible under co aligned foreign policy with "free world").

Truth goes even deeper as you cut through more and more into hypocrisy, that at one point it becomes pointless to go into all the depth.

Are you saying to me that system where only the citizens of a state that are veterans and have experienced military and life and genuinely care about their state as proven by servitude is bad?

I'd gladly give up my cuck vote which does not matter for veterans of war and science to vote.

pls no bulli

despite the system being like that, many philosophers and other greek states condemned the system and prefered monarchy or oligarchy

can't imagine how violently they would oppose it if women and foreigners where allowed to vote

The inevitable problem is that democracy has high potential of being the slippery slope.

If democracy was limited to land owner, educated, working man with wife and at least one kid, imagine the outcome of the democracy.

I must add the fact that I might be idealizing democracy in that form like people idealized communism.

But that pic is supposed to represent the US hmm

Are your ADDAS track pants on to tight? You are trying to build a hedonistic society and want land owning, educated men, to all work?
