Canada has one of the best immigration process known to the Western world. It's very hard to come to Canada because it should be very hard. If you're going to take the risk to accept people outside of your culture, they better be the most well prepared, intelligent and prone to adopt your culture people that you can find.

It's hard to say how successful Bernier can be. Most Conservative voters are too pragmatic to vote for a guy who started his party 1 year before an election. My biggest fear is actually the NDP. So far Scheer and provincial Conservatives have been winning provincial elections and by elections, but the NDP has also collapsed in the past year, so it doesn't look like they'll be splitting the vote.
