We perform a quantitative case study of Jow Forums’s attempt to poison anti-trolling machine learning technology by altering the language of hate on social media. Then, via analysis of comments from the 10s of thousands of YouTube videos linked on Jow Forums, we provide a mechanism for detecting attacks from Jow Forums threads on 3rd party social media services.

Despite all their effort the only award they won that I'm aware of was "most distinguished study" which is academic speak for "fucking weird." I take great pride in knowing that they need to study "us" and that an image board with roughly 250,000 posters at any given time has had serious implications in the real world.
