The Mughals should have expanded their navy, they already had a wartime naval force which was deployed a few times. The blunder occurred in 1617, granting Europeans lease on a small piece of land in the South. Also, we should have industrialised faster, and sent our own ambassadors to Europe to acquire industrial technology if it had to be done that way.
