Despite the memeing juicing is good for a temporary cleanse, but if you are in good or relatively good health juicing is completely unnecessary. Just eat plenty of vegetables, meat, and animal fats with some carbs as well.

In my view juicing is too expensive to do effectively at home, you need to spend a lot to get a quality juicer. That said I do own a vitamix and can make smoothies with zero waste, and you can even make juice with it but it's a very tedious process and inferior to cold pressing machines. The drawback to those machines of course is they cost several hundred or even thousands of dollars.

Instead I occasionally go to a juice bar as a treat.

The change fresh cold pressed juicing had on my life was so drastic, I simply coudln't refrain from telling so many I knew. Be careful juicing too much fruit though; natural sugars are great for you, but moderation is still required. I frequently drink(usually daily) about 40oz of green juice. Large amount of spinach, full cucumber, 2 stalks of celery, 1 Lemon wedge, 1 Gala apple, and a sliver of ginger. I would also recommend a masticating juicer for home use. $300 for the Omega J8006 model. 15 year warranty and complete metal base, very efficient. Also many first time juicers feel slight nausea or upset stomach 3-5 days when they start. Your body isn't used to getting multiples of 100% for many different vitamins and nutrients let alone your required daily value. There is so much more to say about the topic, but its not all that relevant to /pol other than it being an incredibly useful tool for maintaining health in the battle against (((them))).

It is said that adding lemon to the juice will help the body prevent a spike in its glycemic index but I would need to look into that again.

Are you at all concerned about getting too much oxataes or goitrogens from too much raw green vegetables?

I prefer to blanche large batches of spinach every few days and roast beets/carrots for my veggie intake as opposed to raw juice. Juice is certainly easier to drink than a shake or whole vegetables, so there is the convenience factor. But cleaning the machine can be a pain.

If money was no object I would drink juice everyday so long as I didn't have to prepare it, but unfortunately that wouldn't make sense financially. I'm not poor but the price of juice adds up fast, since I only use organic produce.

Juicer was my worst investment ever. despite not having to cook anything there is more preparation and clean up and waste water involved. Cleaning the mesh screen is a bitch too and the juicers are made of cheap plastic that absorbs the flavor of your acidic fruits and vegetables over time.. Furthermore the juice tastes like shit unless you load it with fruit and in which case you are now on a high sugar diet and wont lose any weight or feel any better.

Interesting, I didn't know that about the lemon, I generally just added it for taste and to keep the juice from browning due to oxygen. I should also note that if the juice is prepared by one that uses high speed centrifigal motion to separate the juice and pulp it will be more oxidated and the nutritional content will have a shorter life span. Most should be consumed within 30 minutes or less for max effect. Masticating allows them to last longer supposedly but I still follow that rule regardless. I could legit make a whole /juice board!

You are ahead of the game compared to me if you are able to purchase completely organic vegetables for all consumption. I buy just regular but can generally afford juicing with only around 30K annual income. Also the masticating juicer model I listed happens to be one of the easiest models I've ever clean. the mesh screen is incredibly small, essentially a 1in wide band only 5in around in a circle. They give you a cleaning brush and with my spray hose on my faucet the whole process takes 2 minutes. I researched juicers heavily before purchasing. I consume a large amount of vegetables, mostly anything green plus onions and garlic, meat of all kinds, saturated and healthy fats and low to moderate amounts of carbs. I will research your concern but haven't noticed any ill effects yet.

Water fasting is faster, easier and more natural because it puts your body into ketosis which is a natural function. juicing results in slower weight loss because your body needs to create more fat cells to handle the incoming overabundance of nutrients. Better to water fast and force your body to start using up your fat cells quicker and it will be clensing at the same time.

I should say carbs from grains like brown rice for example, which is about the only ones I eat besides some fruit as well like only gala apples. Good resources for information would be the Gerson Miracle. Dr. Max Gerson's story is certainly an interesting tale. He claims to have cured various chronic ailments with a pure juicing regiment from organic sources and other insane restrictions and processes like organic coffee enemas during your juice fast. Needless to say this was in the 40's if I remember correctly and Gerson was eventually murdered by the pharmaceutical industry after he proved he was poisoned with arsenic the second time after he survived the first poisoning. There is no value in eating raw beef, in fact your digestive system is better equipped to process cooked beef.
