i got a job as software engineer but i'm currently creating a game engine as a personal project. it will be free software (as in GNU style free software) without any licensing fee or anything resembling a royalty.
one big problem for fellow anons to create games is tech such UE4 and Unity have heavy licensing rules and anti wrongthink policy.
it should be enough to boost the production of wrongthink games, quick and easy free and opensource tools to create your games.
just please if you make a game give people the source to all executables to compile from source to play the games

A big problem is that all the talented and dedicated programmers(think Carmack types) have moved onto things like VR and big data and the new blood in the industry isn't cut out for pulling off big boy coding and rely on ready-made tools instead to be able to put their attention into things like story elements instead. Games seem to run horribly, even though our hardware is miles ahead what people had to work with just a decade or two ago and it seems there's always some tryhard "2deep4u" themes in them.

Basically every style of game mechnics is established and fully explored over the last 20+ years, and everyone has played them over and over again.
