Idk I've been artistically watching this clip over and over again and it seems like Laura had the papers the whole time. Nothing was handed to her as suggested, at least not in this clip. The paper visibly "handed off" from the front of the casket appears to be the woman who already was holding papers behind the bald guy just moving her hand, not the bald guy himself. Some user wrote that Jeb was so upset because they misspelled his name in the handouts for the funeral, so I think that's the most logical explanation. I watched the funeral for any reactions I could see.
Michelle Obama was distracted and looking anxious the entire time!
She received the hand off note from GW Bush.
This is so random.. He doesn't pass to Barack he hands off to Michelle... if you watch the funeral closely you will see what I mean by nervous. Fidgeting looking away and anxious as if she can't concentrate after what she has read or seen.
What on earth could be so important that GW Bush had to do a secrete note hand off to Michelle!?
GW knew something going into the funeral. He wrote it on a small piece of paper and handed it off to Michelle.
Later, he informs Laura Bush and or Laura bush informs Jeb.
The envelope and the handed off message/what Jeb saw are two different things. But they will be about the same thing.
My theory is GW Bush was made aware that Trump has Barack and Hillary by the short and curlies.
The hand off to Michelle was because GW thought Obama would be watched too closely but as GW handed off to Michelle, Laura was pulling at Trumps arm. He didn't stop watching GW though. And saw the hand off.
Either way, GW had some bad news and it was of such dire importance that he had to break funeral protocol and risk being captured on tape handing a note to Michelle.
Regarding the envelopes, I genuinely think they or Subpeonas to testify. The word Subpeona will be written in bright red on the letter/paper.
Pence's wife may be asked to give evidence on Pence. Who knows how far down the rabbit hole goes.
