Despite what you might think, newer generations don't even know how to use torrent sites.
They think in terms of click and watch.
Anything more complicated than that is stupid to them.
What really pisses me off is that some movies and shows can only be found online through torrents because some poor soul shared it.
How am I supposed to watch a TV series that has gone off the air 20 years ago and there is no way to purchase it?

I mainly used it to pirate new games but that was in 2007-2014. After that there weren't any new games anymore so I just rarely pirate but when I do it's old or obscure games

There's been a decided shift to ddl and as a result public torrenting has dried up quite a bit. Unfortunately, ddl is even more impermanent than torrents, so things become harder and harder to find. You snooze, you lose. Additionally, as others said DD is eating into normal piracy systems. Now they just wait for sales.
