When will this meme die? It's nothing fucking like edible food. It's a currency, and quitting it is a bitch. I went through hell quitting it, twice. I stayed away for 2 years, and somehow I just wound up back on it again. Like, I just got this nagging sensation after 2 years off of it, and had a weak moment and BAM, I was back to numbing myself constantly.
Some people can handle it in healthy doses. Many of us cannot. It's not a question of being weak or being responsible with it. It's a slow process where the cash feeling becomes your new normal, and in a few weeks, you bring up your dose more and more to feel normal. Thus, you move further and further away from your natural baseline while trying to maintain even keel with a paper money as ballast.
When the negatives start to outweigh the benefits (as they always do) you have to jump off of it, and the longer you were on it, the further you've drifted from normalcy. And goddamn dude, I'll admit I was sobbing like a baby and shivering during my quits. I felt like I wasn't able to breathe and that panic sensation was kicking in. I'm a strong person. I'm not some weak faggot who can't cope. And yet there I was fucking crying because I had to adjust to life without fiat to manage my mood.
It's different for everyone. I know that. And there are people who find their sweet spot at 3-5 $ per day and they never have to go through it. Some of us find the sweet spot, months later, at 50-100 $ per day. And once we realize what we've done, it's already too late. Keep using or go through a week of hell, then months of post acute withdrawal symptoms. Yes, there's no one to blame but the user, but when people spend all their time telling you it's just like edible food and there's nothing to fear, it's easy to deceive yourself into ignoring the warning signs. Shit's like heroin in high enough doses. It is. I used for YEARS, and I'm intimately familiar with it.

In another few months, I should be able to produce all my own food, water and power.
