>How many English teachers from here?
a lot
>Are there really Japaneses / Koreans / Taiwaneses browsing Jow Forums or they're just shills and teachers
not really. few if any at all are actual natives. most are either just proxies, expats, English teachers, people posted there from some other western country for other work, or US servicemen deployed there. the jump from Asian languages to English is much greater than it is for European languages to English. so unlike Europe, English fluency is still almost zero in all of those Asian countries with the token classes they get in it. a board like Jow Forums would be senseless for them and they don't bother.

What is the salary for those English teachers? I wonder if they can live comfortably.

depends on the country, where in the country you're posted and what company recruited you. and comfort is relative.

Japs don't give a fuck about Jow Forums

I was english and russian teacher in s.korea

There used to be more koreans around 2016/17 here.

isn't it banable to use vpn and proxy to poost on Jow Forums?

I may be wrong but I think it's only banable if you are trying to ban evade.

I used to teach in Taiwan. Great people, nice country, boring food, shitty job.

I make 230,000 yen per month. After rent and other expenses, I can save as much as a grand per month if I'm conservative with my spending on food. I live quite comfortably in a small apartment (It could be half as big and I'd still be very comfortable) about an hour south of central Osaka.

Go outside, CJ. Quit posting on Jow Forums.

Teflfag checking in

The teachers are used to knowin Taiwan were mostly losers, you could always sense the vibe.

I am tru japanese loool no engurisha teachazu

Hows Saigon? They love you long time?

Nigger post proofs

yeah it is, but only if you're caught. and of course it being Jow Forums, it's an address ban not an individual one unless you are evading or breaking a rule.

What a faggot. You should be making at least 50man per month. What are you even doing? Cleaning toilets?

its leafs and kiwis using jap and korean vpns

Nippers can barely speak english why would they even think about going to Jow Forums

Of course there are 90% europeans on this board

TEFLfag reporting in.

What's the pay like over there?

i wonder if you can bypass the ban by buying a gold membership

Not great, but not terrible either. Most teachers are on a self-employment licence, paid about 250-300 CZK /45 min lesson.

Saigon's comfy
Some do but most don't

I'm an English teacher. It's a great job but its reputation is ruined by liberal asshats who just play games and rob kids of an education. There are no games in my classes.

No real Asians browse this site.

Your mostly right except Singapore and Malaysia are mostly natives

I drove an Uber for a very pro-America expat. He said he misses the way the country was twenty years ago (back when money was flying out of the sky). He also said he refuses to eat in any restaurant run by Chinese because of the MSG. Pretty based. I was driving him and his daughters to Tae-Kwan-Do class.

They Viets generally hate chinese, it's the only political stance everybody is open about

>No real Asians browse this site.
why not?

Maybe because they have their own chan like 2ch?

>No real Asians browse this site.
of course there are Asians on here, but they tend to live or grow up in the west

No Japanese use this site or English platforms. Remember, Japanese people do not speak English and are the most isolated and insular people in the modern world. Besides, they have their own websites to shit post on. What you're seeing is not a Japanese person but an expat, US military or an English teacher who is in Japan. Ironically, however, Jow Forums is owned by a Japanese person. But, no, Japanese people do not post on /pol.

>I make 230,000 yen per month. After rent and other expenses, I can save as much as a grand per month
that's pretty good. I could never save $1,000 a month back home. I think Japan is pretty damn good for a single EFL teacher who lives modestly. I can basically eat and drink whatever I want, save $1,000 a month and still do not work a 40-hour work week.

What's your favourite game to play with your students?

>What's your favourite game to play with your students?
How long have you been in Vietnam? Have you taught anywhere else? I prefer Japan.

Few years . Taught english only in saigon and don't think i'd be anywhere else life is far too comfy and the money is great. If i can find a job in some shitty boring town in the sticks of Japan i'd do that for a year. Why do you like japan so much? It sounds like there is a lot of competition over there

>Why do you like japan so much? It sounds like there is a lot of competition over there
I like Japan because it's clean, organized, and public behavior is generally good. I also like the supermarkets in Japan more than the those in other countries in the region, so food isn't a problem here for me like it was in Taiwan where I hated the food. I also have a good job that gives me a lot of time off. Yeah, Japan is saturated with TEFL teachers, and has been for many years. What are your qualifications - e.g., Do you have at least a B.A. degree? A CELTA? A master's in TESOL or Applied Linguistics? If so, you might do well in Japan, providing you're a native English speaker from an English speaking country like the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, etc.

The motorbike noise and basically eating noodle-based dishes everyday got old fast but otherwise yeah, Saigon is pretty comfy.

Havn't been to university , just have a TEFL certificate that was a waste of money anyway. I'm thinking standards are a lot higher for Japan. Off to bed anyway , there's a tefl thread in /trv/ if you want to continue talking , I always like hearing stories.

Okay. Later!
