Truly a unique style, and he may not be Jow Forums approved by some but he is in my book. His whole shtick is that he rejects (((record labels))) and is unapologetically a white rapper, also against the heavy drug use prevalent in the rap community. You should go to one of his shows if he ever tours again, such high energy there.

Music used to be about multiple instrumentation to communicate subtleties like a doggos running javing fun or enourmous ideas like seasons.

Also, there's a few black rappers who get a pass in my view. They're all "anti-racist", but not as antiwhite as most blacks. They're Canibus, K-Rino, The Micranots, Mr Lif, and a few songs by Nas. Also, Denizen Kane, an Asian rapper from Chicago, but only because of his use of Christian motifs and references in his lyrics and his attitude towards the government and mainstream society being antagonistic, because he is a leftist and anti-white. K-Rino, The Micranots, and Nas are leftists to. But K-Rino is an anti-government Christian conspiracy theorist, the Micranots are black nationalists, and Nas actually has some common sense knowledge of how society works and what the black community is doing wrong.

So I find all of them relatable one way or another as a prospective white-nationalist militant, and I do believe we have to become militant, despite the fact I'd be on the opposite side of the battlefield from most of these guys in either their or our ideal war scenario.

As far as rap goes as a genre, a lot of it is shit 90% of it, and most of it coming from the niggers who make it, but there are some diamonds among the rough who would be making great music in different eras regardless. Agreed. It's a form of music that is easily accessible to potential creators so there will be a lot of garbage produced. But that's just the democratization ofa genre. Like I'm sure that most of the world being literate has simultaneously lowered the bare minimum standards for authors as well as raised the highest bar of standards. Because everyone can read so the masses of idiots can economically fuel garbage production and the hidden genius minority is worldwide now and can fuel the production of great works financially.

How do you like Slug's newer stuff? I don't think I listened to anything newer than The Family Sign. Which I liked over time, but I kinda felt like he was going more dad-rap than I was interested in. But like I said, it grew on me after some time and I like it now. I just miss the energy he was working with in albums like Overcast, and Headshots, and Sad Clown, and Sean Likes Ugly Girls, and Lucy Ford, and When Life Gives You Lemons. It was much more of a darker, harder, almost psychedelic style. His newer stuff, like To All My Friends and The Family Sign is more reserved emotionally, or is tempered at least, and less... I don't know, illustrative. But I get that he's an older dude and his thoughts on things and his day-to-day experiences have changed.

I guess I'll check it out either way. Still curious what your thoughts are.

I can’t listen to rap anymore. Sold off my collection of hundreds of cds and vinyl a few years back, it’s a dead end musically and just hearing nigger (or wigger) voices mumbling now makes me cringe.

Atmosphere have gotten away from their story telling boom-bap phase. Ant's production is more
polished but lacking the soul of his rawer earlier stuff. Slug seems to be more interested in writing songs rather than rapping, which is fine but the two's recent output has been weaker to me when you consider both points.
I still won't miss a chance to see them live tho.
