Why are things that have been illegal for decades now legal because they have an app?

You can post other examples or discuss this phenomenon

Because our economy is dying and we need new disruptive sectors to keep it on life support

We are in a timeline that god abandoned. Nothing matters, so theres no rational explanations.

This makes a lot of sense.

Because all these new options are owned exclusively by (((them))).

I do find it strange that uber/lyft can circumvent taxi laws so easily. But my experience with uber/lyft is 1,000,000x better than taxis. The uber/lyft is always clean, the driver is polite etc. The few taxis I have gotten in the past few years are disgusting, havent been cleaned in ages, the car itself feels shitty and run down, wheels vibrating at highway speeds etx. And 90% of the time it is some pajeet who stinks of curry driving the taxi.

Because these laws are unconstitutional and could only be challenged effectively in a court of law after a large enough disruptive force came into play

Where in the constitution are local regulations addressed?

What justification is there in the local ordinances as to why it is illegal to rent out a room in your home, or to drive someone from one destination to another in for money?

They are laws passed by legislature or committee. Are you arguing that no laws are valid?

as others already said, it's not that there ever was a good justification. But now that there are corporate entities with money, the "laws" can be challenged and defeated.

Rideshare driver here you do need a business license to drive one.

THE WHOLE POINT OF CELLPHONE BASED TAXIES IS TO SPY WHERE YOU ARE GOING TO.
PROVE ME WRONG

Yes.
And what reasons did the legislature or committee give as to why it was illegal to rent out a room in your home, or to drive someone from point A to point B?

London here, black cabs here are absolute filth(filthy driver, filthy car) and cost like 5x as much as uber

Let's pose a counterfactual.
Suppose in 1900 there was a law that required the streets of London to be sweeped at least once a week.

At the time it was argued that this was to clear the streets of horse manure, and prevent the spread of disease from all of the horse shit.

The city of London now stops sweeping the streets every week. Is this behaviour valid?

this

fake technologies to distract from civilizational collapse after the Yiddish coup of the 1970s.

Innovation and technological advancements stagnated and declined after the Yiddish coup of 1970s

So what you're saying is we can legalize prostitution with an app

Because of surveillance capitalism and invasion into private property. You'll notice that all those "businesses" have something in common, and that's a shitload of spying for one, and some kind of a renting, sharing, or similar non-owning scheme for two.

>tindr
>grindr

America under WASP control (1700s-1970)
>revolutionize industries and technologies
>invest and implement rails, trains
>build wonders, skyscrapers, subways
>invent tvs, radios, and the modern world
>cure diseases, provide modern healthcare to all
>propel humanity into the technological age
>reign in the era of productivity and innovation
>income equality throughout society
>high standard of living for all citizens
>build the largest and most powerful military on the planet
>revolutionary and modern infrastructure
>rising wages
>affordable and cheap middle class majority
>reach the moon

America under Yiddish control (1970-now)
>YUGE social and financial inequality
>massive and growing disparity between (((rich))) and goy
>stagnant and regressing industries. stagnant wages
>no revolutionary technologies/innovation since the 60s
>just minor adjustments and repackaging old WASP inventions (computers/mobile from the 1950s)
>extinct middle class
>rotting infrastructure
>failed governance
>rampant disease epidemics culling the nation
>Once Prosperous Anglo nation turned to hellscape

California Bay Area here. 95% of ubers are pajeets and chinamen that suck at driving and don't run any air in their stuffy cars.

Because those were retarded laws made to gatekeep competitors and prop up shitty monopolies, the only people that care about this are the shitty taxi companies no one likes. More competition is always good for everyone.

>Running a taxi without a liscence or meddalion
Because the advent of smartphones and prevalence of gps has rendered the only training you needed to be a taxi driver utterly irrelevant, local geography.
In fact, I'd rather have someone who's relying on GPS drive me, because I know they're not going to run up the fucking meter. I love that taxi drivers never realize that I've lived in this town my whole life. Any difference between the final charge and what my cheapest charge to get there was is made up for with their tip.
>Scalping tickets on ticketmaster/stubhub
There's no federal law against it.
>Subletting houses/apartments on airbnb
This shouldn't be illegal at all. One of the things I really hate about the McDolans economy is to what extent the more successful people in a society think they "own" anyone who does business with them. Employers will fire you for something you say in private on your own time, leasers try to put these cute clauses in their lease forbidding subletting (which are actually considered null clauses under federal law), and God HELP: you, if you publish anything with your name on it that doesn't follow the squeaky clean nu-morality of gold star liberals.

Fuck that.
The economy is literally doing better than it's been in well over a decade. Trump's opening up that drilling practically dropped gas prices back down to pre-Katrina era. It's fucking great.

100% this.

Also this, New York City hasn't increased the number of Taxi medallions in 20 years and they now cost over a million dollars. No shit things like Uber and Lyft become popular.

i was under the impression that to drive a taxi, bus, passenger haulers, you needed a special licence.
a buddy drove a taxi on weekends for extra bucks and he had to get one.
it may go back to new york / new jersey taxi unions.

Have you ever lived in a house next to an AirBnB rental?
It's horrible. Constant stream of loud, partying millennials and yuppie shits. It ruins a quiet family-oriented neighborhood.

I don't agree with any of this. However, I do want to note that in (i think) 1972 Nixon took the US off the gold standard and introduced the era of always-expanding debt money without limits.

government is always slower and stupider than private businesses. That being said all of those businesses are just listing services that have the advantage of being a layer removed from actual criminal behavior. They have first amendment protections.

>believing the scam that the government makes you safe so you pay your 30% tax rate

Where's the innovations? Technology is stuck in the '70s.

There has been practically no innovation in the last 30 years. At all. Really you could make the case its been much longer than that. Cell phones/computers/internet are old technologies from the 50s, 60s that have been forced for greater adoption. 90% of the technology I see people around me consuming is literal garbage that does not improve their lives in any way what so ever, and is frequently just an over-engineered shittier version of something that was already invented >50 years prior. The bulk of the "innovation" in the past 15 years has been in figuring out how to scam people out of their money more effectively.

There has been a shift in mentality. I don't know of a person younger than me that aspires to do something with their life that will yield something useful, add to the body of human knowledge, or in some matter just make peoples lives "better" on average. Instead you see kids come to pol to shill their youtube content trying to become ecelebs, or get rich quick or whatever. I'm sure its worse on other social media but I cant stomach that to give you a specific example. Its fucking gross and its everywhere.

The only tech being allowed to advance is communication and computing, for the sole reason that this makes the goy easier to control and eventually replace.

any innovation will be used by the powerful to oppress.

I helped a guy pay off his NYC medallion by cash out refi of his house. For 1.3 million.

Yeah.

1. A medallion was 1.3 fucking million
2. A cab driver had a house that supported a 1.3 million dollar cash loan

Geez, it's almost like it was an industry that was deeply corrupted by government control.

YOU CANNOT DENY THE GIRTH OF THE FREE MARKET

Even the state averts its eyes.

After the Yiddish coup, have we reached the end of the line, a sort of technological end of a once, optimistic, Anglo trajectory? Once every last ((locust)) migrates onto the West, will that be it? Is the world really enriched, full stop? Again, it may be helpful to revisit previous goyim conceptions of the Anglo future to see how far the Yiddish have sunk us.

The future envisioned from the Anglo-perspective of the 1960s was indeed fantastical- fluing cars, space, colonies, cancer cured! and Anglos were willing to attain these aspirations. We now laugh at the Nucleon and Pan Am to the moon while applauding underpowered hybrid cars and Easyjet, and that’s sad. The future that Anglos in the 1960s hoped to see is still the future we’re waiting for today, half a century later.. Instead of Captain Kirk and the USS Enterprise, we got the Grinder, Fuckbook, Jewtube and a Twatter.

The honest answer is literally because multi-billionaires have huge investments in these companies. It's a patchwork hodgepodge of bullshit to get us thru the transition from industrial to question mark.

Uber gets around Taxi medallions since "you (represented by the app)" contact the driver for a personal ride. Ubers are not allowed to pick up random people off the street.

Airbnb was never legal in a lot of places, and tenants have been getting raided since the beginning in certain areas, like Barcelona.

Ticketmaster has been a fucking scam my whole life.

These gigantic fucking megalocorps are all illegal too, but nobody has the balls to bust trusts anymore. Supporting them is good for the wallet, being against them is bad for your brains remaining in your head.

What are you going to do? Retreat further into the woods like a cuck? Or show those millennial faggots exactly what you’re made of?

Removing shop class from high schools was a crime

They each offer a centralized apparatus to be taxed

Yep, and it's a worldwide problem. I tried to encourage French anons to use old lathes and mills to make whatever they wanted to defend themselves. Even informed them that certain WW2 tech would lend itself very well to being produced on those machines and they acted like it was fucking impossible. I really hope there is some sort of productive resurgence. I try to encourage people the best I can

This. I have never had a Taxi ride, and I have never had a bad Uber ride.

Exactly.

They back the horse with a single neck and a head, so as to avoid giving power to the true potential of the internet; the hydra that is decentralized networking.

i love how upset black cab drivers were over uber

Well, we may not have The WASP Future anymore, but we certainly do have The ((Current))) Year. Don’t you know that it’s 2018, goy? That means gay marriage! Women in combat! Even the first rumblings of the normalization of pedophilia! Say what you will about the Classical Marxists of the past – Lenin, Stalin, Mao – but they built massive hydroelectric dams, intercontinental missiles, skyscrapers, and atom bombs. Yet in The ((Current))) Year, they and their grand projects have been replaced by the Cultural Marxism of Gramsci, Marcuse, and Alinsky. To the leftists of The ((Current))) Year, global warming means we can’t build big impressive things anymore, so now we simply declare the cutting edge to be increasingly degenerate sexual and cultural practices. There is nothing of The WASP Future in The ((Current))) Year – any caveman could have smoked dope, had weird sex, or dressed up like a girl.

Is this how The WASP Future dies? And what becomes of us when it does? The ((Current))) Year can provide sensuous pleasures and validation for our degeneracy, but didn’t we used to aspire to more than that? America is a modern nation that grew and developed during the Industrial Age; we have always been a people oriented towards The WASP Future. We built steamships and cotton gins and giant radio towers and Santa Fe Streamliners and B-29 bombers and Shelby GT350 Cobras, because these were the things of The WASP Future. We built the Saturn V rocket and then we went to the moon in it.

As The Bechtloff put it, the future ain’t what it used to be. And it probably won’t ever be again.
