Girl was the one who offered going to the theatre and I said sure. I'm not in the area so i didnt know anything. I asked 4 friends whatvthey thought and guys said wait and girls said mayne say something. Should I just continue the conversation or actually just wait? Or its over? Its been a few hours and I feel stuck.
Wait. We don't know how often you guys talk, but I'd say give it a day or two for her to respond and then after that just shoot her a quick text confirming the date and time.

This is a first date? Don't say anything. The ball is in her court and you won't generate any more interest by overloading her with messages. Make sure you meet before the show, however. I can't imagine anything more tense than sitting in dark silence for an hour with a person you only met five minutes prior.
Yeah if it's just today then definitely give it a day or two before starting up another convo or asking her that question. Generally isn't a good idea to double text unless you're already in a committed relationship with the person.

Not necessarily. I mean if you continued the conversation immediately afterwards that probably would have been fine, but she should know that you're waiting on her to get back to you. If anything she'll start up the conversation again if she feels like it, otherwise just follow the other advice in this thread.

Jesus Christ, be more assertive. You asked her FOUR questions when she asked none. The only question you should have asked was if she would like to go on a date. Then you're supposed to offer a time and see if she can go then, if not, she tells you when she's free.
Normally I dont like 20 questions for the date either, but Im new to this area, and it was more like "yeah when is the theatre showing I don know" rather then is she free. I wont do something like that again though.

If she's the one who recommended it then you're fine. I'm somewhat in a similar situation, was chatting up this girl and we were talking about how close to one another we worked and we ended up asking to hang out at practically the same time (except my message arrived first)
Just keep it casual, don't feel pressured to talk about stuff via text if you have nothing to talk about. Wait till Friday then send a message then.
