Around 6 years ago I got into "Self development" or whatever you want to call it. started with learning how to get girls, then how to be happy, then how to be healthy, and now how to make value and have value returned to myself.
And now, I don't like video games.
I can't find a single video game that I enjoy playing. is this adulthood? is this being a functioning human?
Aside from shitposting edgy satire or shit I read books for entertain ment instead of gaming.
I never really had a mentor in life so I did it all on my own in a similar way to yours

nah, it's just that AAA games these days are trash. Just wait till something good comes out and you can go right back to being a degenerate. True adulthood is moving on from this place too, fyi.

Just wait another 6 years until Bannerlord comes out you will be back.

I am the same way, if you want a video game try dragon ball fifers. Just oddment take it seriously until you get good. Part of the reason you don't want to play video games, as I found for myself is it takes to much effort to get good at them. ut once your good at them, you find its still fun.

I went through something similar ., I noticed mostly that my taste in games changed, before I didn't mind spending hundreds of hours on a shooter. Now I play slow, story based games that only last 5-10 hours and I take 2-3 weeks to complete them
Hack an old Wii and put some classic Nintendo, atari and arcade games on it. They are pretty fun.
Or just stop playing video games. Try learning how to play piano or guitar.

Rimworld is pretty cool. No real goals, just the ones you set

Getting into thinking about "self development" instead of actually doing real things ruined my life. Don't do it. Don't fall for the psyops. Do what you know is right, quickly.
