It's hard to have any kind of serious movement with women involved period. Not saying its impossible, I'm just saying that modern women are not of the same calibre as a grounded and strong mother of 6 of past generations.

I don't necessarily agree with what those two posters are saying, but let me give some sort of explanation.

The reason men and women have taken on different roles in society for millennia is because we are physically better suited to different tasks. Men are physically stronger and tougher, and probably emotionally tougher too (evidence shows that testosterone plays a large role in changing the development of the brain, so yes men and women are - on average - psychologically different). So in order for every person to be doing the thing they are most effective at, in order for society to keep prospering, men and women took on different roles.

E.g. men fighting on the front lines. This isn't to say that women can't fight on the front lines, but on average they are probably not as effective as killing machines. They are physically weaker, less aggressive and less emotionally clinical (on average). Yes you might have a very very rare exception of a very strong, very ruthless woman, but it is very rare (possible, but very rare) for a woman to be as strong and as ruthless as a man.

And of course it made sense for women to do the job of child-rearing since that is what they are biologically suited to do, given that they are the only sex with wombs and mammary glands. But women didn't just rear children - they also tended to all the domestic affairs, which is a very hard job in itself.

This is why I think lefties are stupid. They think that men had everything great back in the day, and women were the only ones stuck with a shitty time. But that's completely wrong. Going off to war and facing the prospect of death was a right holiday for men, right? No. And going to work and earning a living isn't exactly a blast, as anyone who does it these days (including women) will tell you. It's stressful and annoying and shit.

Hope this gives some historical context regarding why men and women have historically taken on different roles in society.
