On Saturday I traveled to Ottawa to support the migration pact protest. Unfortunately I was late and missed the protest. Do any of you folks know when the next protest will be? Yes it may be a losing battle but I don't want to be chin deep in welfare grubbing assholes (as if I'm not already) wishing I had done something. If any Anons have any details they would be greatly appreciated.
For those of you who are pro-immigration please consider the following:
Mass immigration will make things harder for old stock Canadians in the following areas
A) Cost of living will increase. Having a higher ratio of people:homesteads will greatly increase demand for rentals as well as increase the pool of home buyers. Canada’s housing market has not and will not be able to keep up
B) Wages across all job sectors will get the squeeze. (If we are lucky enough to maintain our rate of employment) weather you like it or not people are a commodity and no matter how talented or skilled you are, if there is a never ending lineup of immigrants desperate for work you will have to concede some of your earnings to stay employed.
C) Immigration is being used to replace the retiring population. Fact of the matter is when trying to maintain the ratio of working adults:children/retirees you have 2 options. You can either work to make things easier on the younger workers by allowing a small shortage of workers thus increasing wages and therefore enabling young people to afford homes and children of their own. OR. You can allow mass immigration. You can’t do both. To allow immigration on that level is to betray the young Canadians and to sell their futures and their children. Rejecting immigration will make things somewhat harder on businesses in the short term but will be better for all Canadians in the long run.
D) Even if you are a fresh immigrant it is economically in your interest to stop immigration for the same reasons that I want to stop it. You will have to take a bite of this shit sandwich too.
Another Idea I would like to put out there that doesn’t get talked about much is restricting foreign investment. A perfect example of why foreign investment is bad is the Canadian housing market. Allowing one of the largest gdp’s in the world to treat our housing market like a stock bubble is going to ruin us. While China inflates our market it puts our own houses out of reach of the working class. We are literally paying rent to china in our own country! What bullshit! Later as is bound to happen, the Canadian housing bubble will burst. The longer we postpone the inevitable the harder it will be on the working class. We need to pop the housing bubble now rather than later, but how? What should we do?
I think we should only allow citizens to buy property. Foreign buyers that already own property can keep what they already own. This will effectively burn off any assholes that treat the Canadian market as their own personal piggy bank and put houses in reach of the working class.
That is enough blabbing from me for now. Tell me what you think and stay frosty Canada.
