South slavs would need to get their industry going, get a strong pact/trade agreement that isnt the shitty EU but just for themselves so they can get better relations and solve national disputes.
Then they could create a shitty copy of yugoslavia and hold some influental power(since they are on the road connecting europe and middle east, and the current chinese railroad being built would give them more importance).
Only then could south slavs begin being on some level of the rest of their brethern.
Then everyone except Russia would have to gain some power aswell, or make a similar pact so that they can hold some power togheter.
Only now could we join without the fear of Russia fucking anexxing all of us or Europe and US fucking us over.

the closest thing there will ever be to a Slavic union is Intermarium. basically all Slavs except Russia, but including non-Slavs such as Romanians, Hungarians, and Balts.
