Church failed to provide a solution because if the solution it gave really satisfied people then it would be a trivial non-issue like washing our hands or using antibiotics. Like many mental diseases, the symptoms and causes can be different from individual to individual, but transitioning is usually resorted to only after counseling and other treatment is attempted. It's not like they want to cause irreversible changes right off the bat qhen they aren't even certain of the pathophysiology and pathopsychology. So why don't exorcisms work? So why were they created with illnesses in the first place? Because if they were created with a neurological structure more akin to that of the opposite sex wouldn't that defy your alleged dichotomous sorting scheme? Also, it's not as though there's a gloval consensus where all transgender people decide to try to encourage children to transition. Especially with social media, minority populations seem much more prevalent and powerful than they really are. Also, like any treatment, there are going to be people who abuse the drugs in some way or form, and this can be considered one of them. Also, hormone blockers can typically be reversed with the appropriate sex hormone if the person in question reneges on their decision, and there's only a few exceptional cases where doctors will allow a child to transition (with T or E) before giving them extended time to decide by delaying puberty, since again, medical professionals know the course is mostly irreversible.
