If you ACTUALLY want to own a "plantation" move to Louisiana, have a SHITLOAD OF MONEY and start paying local Sheriffs, judges, politicians and prison wardens.

Then once you're in good enough favor, you can hopefully get the approval to set up your own private prison. They're basically camps for "drug offenders" where they do hard labor, for your profit. You get paid by the state per bed filled, so if another prison has too many prisoners, you can call up your buddy and get some shipped your way to fill your beds.

The goal is to get the prisoners living on the LEAST amount of money per day. No extra activities, they live in tents and large bunk houses and they have access to almost nothing in the way of reform. All of their labor is devoted to making products for you to sell to the US government, since they HAVE to buy from the prison industry first.

To add to this, up until 2017 Louisiana incarcerated its citizens at the highest rate of any state in America. Now the crown belongs to Oklahoma.

They also have more private prisons than any state in America.
