Trump met with them to pitch the idea of funding a border wall. They refused, obfuscated, screeched. He said he would shut down the Govt. (which isn't that big of a deal in reality but the media will make it seem like WWIII) if they don't help fund the wall.

It's very simple. The dems don't want a border wall because they want to eventually give them citizenship and in return the illegals who will then be legal citizens will vote Democrat until eternity.

You see, old whores like Pelosi and Schumer will be dead by the time that happens but they don't care. It's about power for their party. They would have made great Politburo members in the USSR.

By throwing a fit and saying he would proudly shut down the government if they don't give him what they want. They were going to give him 1.6 billion for border security but instead he wants money for his waste of a wall that he said Mexico was going to pay for.

Nothing. It was basically akin to the same trick employers do when they set their candidate qualifications exceedingly high so they can claim they couldn't complete the task and so must take the brute force approach of hiring foreign laborers for cheap. Basically Trump sat them down, knowing nothing would be accomplished, and will now say, "Hey, we couldn't work things out through the normal channels, I tried, so I'm shutting down the government and overruling you with military force to build The Wall." I couldn't really think of an English word to describe this maneuver well, probably there is a Hebrew word for this, any Jews can help?

Trump hurt his case when he brought up the numbers of how well border security is doing right now. Said it was something like a 96% success rate.

Schumer then said the dems would okay to increase the spending on the current border security....and Trump threw a temper tantrum. So they agreed to bolster security on the border, but Trump simply wants it his way. He came out looking worst.

Chuck Schumer wouldn't even look Trump in the face like a whipped dog. Trump has obviously broken him.
